I play TIE every other league game. So I only play CT when my enthusiasm is on 10.
So TIE, TIE, TIE, CT, TIE, TIE, TIE, CT and so on and so forth.
So I play CT with high enthusiasm so to increase my chances of winning that particular game.

If you think you can win both then do so. But another tactic would be to play TIE in your game against your rival (as playing TIE with high enthusiasm is similar to playing normal with enthusiasm of 5) if you think you are of similar skill or if you are better. Then you can play CT in your TV game. This way you have a decent chance to win both games but you will be on 5 enthusiasm after the games rather than being on 2 enthusiasm by doing it your way.

Or make a compromise, play Normal in the first game, then CT in the second game. That would give you a decent chance to win both, but enthusiasm will then be around 3 so you will have to tank a few games after that.
I'd take the safe option and TIE the first game and CT the second.

No doubt. Must win matchups against teams fighting for the same position are prime candidates for CT
That's when I use it.

I have a question that is similar but I don't want to make a new thread so I am gonna post it here. My next game is on TV so I want to play good but I am thinking about TIeing because my opponent is inactive except he's at home so what should I do? I should have an advantage but I don't know if I should play it safe with normal or take a chance(sorta) with TIE

IMO (I don't know how much weight it carries since I am new) you would be completely fine with doing TIE. The team you are facing is terrible and you would do good enough to make your fans happy without playing on normal.
