Level 5 is what u should get. You can probably get one on low to mid 20k salary for a sign on fee of about $400,000. I paid 360k for my level 5 trainer on a salary of 23K about a month ago

It depend on what your budget is and how much money you have.

you should at least get a lvl 4 trainer.

lvl 5 if you have quite a bit of money which you want to spend on a trainer. The salary difference between a lvl 4 and 5 trainer is huge so if you're running low on funds, I'd recommend a 4.

Level 6 trainer = waste of money.

Because ...
the difference between 5 to 6 isn't worth that much money, you have to pay for a lvl 6 trainer. That's what the BB said.

The difference in training speed between a L5 and L6 trainer is way too small to justify the extra costs.

Ok, I'll bite. What is the speed difference between a level 5 and 6 trainer?

Yeah, umm, I have to say I upgraded to lvl 6 this season and noticed faster training with OD. Infact I had a level 5 or equivalent since season 6 and I get very use to seeing pops at certain times. When I upgraded, I def noticed a difference. So maybe the difference between 5 and 6 is minimal, but so far I feel it is worth the extra 300k I spent.

I remember talking about this in the forums a while back when the new system came out. All i remember from then is that the difference from level 1-2 is much greater then 6-7.
For Example:

1__________2________3______4____5__6_7

To be clear, this is definitely not accurate at all, but rather an image to help some people understand better.
Edit: Maybe someone would like to explain a little more?

This is also my understanding, but not exactly a formula to say that level 6 trainers are not worth their price. I suspect that they are not, as my GM friend said. People are probably overestimating what they can do... I have seen some people say that they give an extra 2 weeks of training per season, and that is not really my experience.
