I fear that the crop of promoting d3 team will be better than ever next season. When I think my d2 is already crowded with competitive teams, I'm gonna have a hard time!

4. (5) Urmummas 16 0 PD 539 (III.11)

7. (6) tannum tantrums 16 0 PD 477 (III.1)
8. (7) Popenpop 16 0 PD 440 (III.2)
9. (9) Sydney Sea Eagles 16 0 PD 402 (III.5)
10. (10) Vis Maior 15 1 PD 697 (III.12)
11. (11) Melbourne Demons 15 1 PD 463 (III.8)
12. (12) atrains 15 1 PD 461 (III.7)
13. (13) Mayhem 15 1 PD 455 (III.9)
14. (15) Southern Breakers 15 1 PD 450 (III.15)
15. (16) West Indies 15 1 PD 427 (III.10)
16. (14) Jindera Strikers 15 1 PD 421 (III.14)
17. (17) C U Next Tuesday 15 1 PD 414 (III.7)
18. (18) South Gisborne Storm 15 1 PD 350 (III.9)
19. (19) Fashion Victims 15 1 PD 340 (III.14)

The Hippos extend the gap at the top with a big win over my lads. with 6 games to go, they would have to begin to feel confident that if they beat the devastating Vis Maior they can earn a free promotion.

Meanwhile in 3rd the Maggots have been slowly pegging back the Vikings. Only 17 points adrift after tonight's games. Not much change at the bottom with all the 15-1 teams putting very little pressure on Vis Maior.

Don't know if I've already said this but good to see the Maggots on 16-0 after tanking for what has seemed like a lifetime.

It might be a toss up between Maggots & Akuma, with both teams likely to go up to Div II.

I will just be happy not getting brutalised every week

How about we have a look at some of the more important games coming up on Tuesday night for the promotion hopeful's.

Puffy_jnch (11-5) vs. TeamAkuma (16-0)

The only other time these sides have met was round 2 of the season, when Akuma cleanly dispatched the newly promoted Puffy. As is expected when a first time promotee faces a seasoned division III veteran.

In their first meeting Akuma's Mark Booth led his team to an easy win with 25 points in 28 minutes. However in a down season for Booth where he is only averaging 13.8 PPG, it is unlikely he will be as much a factor as he was in the early season game.

There is no doubt that Clinton Abimbola will be there to pick up the slack for Akuma, despite a quiet outing last time against Puffy with only 13 points. However it has been an outstanding season for the homegrown superstar who has averaged 29.2 PPG in his last 5 league games.

Puffy on the other hand could be looking towards Spanish guard Jorge Torras. Torras has struggled to work his way into the Puffy side this season, having start only 5 games this season. Looking pass that Torras has been big for his team in the last 5 games averaging 20.6 PPG.

Puffy's side has improved greatly over the last 8 weeks or so, but it is too hard to go past Akuma for this game.

My Prediction: Team Akuma by 22
