one other thing I want to add...I have trainer level 6 an paying 50k salary and i bought him for 37k. I don't know if you can offered this salary but I think the benefit of level 6 is more than having level 5. and paying a little more in salary

I think at his lvl, lvl 5 trainer is more than enough. He should spend minimal income for the staff and the rest should go to arena expansion and finding trainees and some veterans.

Yeah I'm definitely keeping this trainer for at least two seasons. I used a fairly extreme economic strategy this season (take a look at my transfers) and it saved me a lot of money. I probably made the most cash this season out of all promoting USA Div 5 teams.

Why were you just buying players and firing them? For scrimmage purposes??? or is there more to it?

I played them in the league games, they were good enough to beat my crappy opposition, and then fired them before the financial update. It is cheaper than keeping them. I'd buy a new set each week, my only search criteria was that they had respectable defense and $1000 max bid, and I'd only buy guys with respectable GS or better. I only paid for my trainees, about 12k a week :)

That is one of the coolest things I have seen for ages. What a great achievement. The only down side with your strategy is I'll bet your fans were a bit unhappy and your income was lower than it could have been. But your costs would have been way, way low. One of my buddies hires and fires guys for scrimmages every week and then lists them for sale for just a few thousand ending on saturday night. Occasionally someone will pay $5,000 or $10,000 for one of those duds, he then fires everyone who didn't sell. This is not the way I would like to play but it is a brilliant strategy for division V. Do you regret selling off your star trainee?

I have a level 6 trainer but wouldn't have even considered it earlier. When your team is young level 4 is fine. Level 5 is beter but the increace you get for each level is diminishing. Here is some examples according to the Hungarian NT website.

So just looking at JS. If I trained JS for 14 weeks straight.
Mu would get 4 pops no matter what level trainer.
Vallo would get 2 pops no matter what level trainer.
Kent would get 2 pops no matter what level trainer.
Oliver would get 2 pops no matter what level trainer.
Neale would get 4 pops no matter what level trainer.
Justs would get 4 pops with a level 4 trainer and 5 with a level 5 or 6.

So for the entire team over an entire season I would be one pop beter. Obviously if I stuck at it long enough eventually everyone would have an extra pop. But the difference seems to be about 4% from level 4 to 5 and 2% from level 5 to 6.

My point here in all of this is not to stop people getting a high level trainer. Trust me the NT needs every pop it can get. But I just want managers to realise they don't need to morgage the team's future with a high level trainer. You can create a great NT level player as long as:

1) He has good starting skills and potential.
2) He gets training 48+ EVERY week.
3) You do single position training.

I'd recommend level 5 as a minimum if you want that U21 slot. Level 4 is fine financially, but over 4 seasons, that extra 2-3 pops in OD or Js or JR makes a huge difference.

Level 4 for one season is fine for lower division teams but they better be prepared to upgrade when the trainee is 19.

My 2 U21 players popped 4 times in 4 weeks using a level 6 trainer, 2 pops in OD and 2 in PA. It was crazy..

Iwen, India isn't Australia. The BEST big man aged 20 or less has a salary of less than $8,000 this season. I would much rather see guys trained with a level 4 trainer than not at all which is the current situation. Naturally the higher the trainer level the better, but I am just pointing out that it isn't that difficult.

wow this is a great data. I'll refer back to this data every now and then :) Can I assume that these are all two position training? or even three position training?
