3 week injury from the 1st scrimmage?
Damn it's like the nba where everyone is down in the preseason


Wow, yeah, that does suck. I wasn't even going to do a scrimmage this week because I'm training FTs right now, but TTS wanted one so I went ahead and played him with the scrubs at the end of my bench, some of whom have now been shipped off to Team Del Boca Vista, Phase III.

Right, I should have said Rent-a-McWhore. ;)

Unfortunately for me, my time trying that strategy out saw me shoot four percent from the field in the first quarter of my playoff loss. Clearly I'm not meant to run an inside tactic or bring in ringers (or, presumably as a result, promote).

I will say McWhore spent slightly more than three months on my roster. That's not exactly a rental player. He was limited for NBBA use. If I hadn't promoted, he would still be on my roster. One of my all time favorite players even only playing for me for three months.

A whore is pretty much, by definition, a rental. (Or a layaway?) ;)

Childs was sort of the opposite for me - I would have kept him had I promoted, and I kicked around the notion of keeping him instead of Thayer when formulating my plan if I didn't promote, but the absolute boatload of buttgravy that he put up in an LI in the conference final killed that thought.
