I think there should be thoughts of making a movie/tv series on The Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan or the Midkemia series by Raymond E. Feist.

And as for the original topic of Basketball books, the only book type things I've read are the old One on One magazines and Pro Basketball Today I think it was called and the special edition SLAM magazines.

And I think its been asked but where can I find a copy of that Bill Simmons? is that his name? basketball book. It sounds good

Just jump on amazon matty. It's probably around $20 - $25 - It's called The Book of Basketball by Bill Simmons

Pro Basketball today was great. I used to read it everyweek and got published a fair few times in there letters to the editor bit. Unfortuneatly it died because everyone could get box scores and the news articles on the internet.

I used to buy it too, and Hoop and other basketball magazines. I used to have to take a lot of public transport and so would need maybe 10 hours of train reading material a week and on the Frankston line you don't want to be reading anything by Shakespeare or Plato on the midnight train or you will get stabbed so basketball magazines were perfect.

It's sad when you have to make these sorts of considerations, but definitely valid.

You could have tried to reason with the thugs and asked if you could resolve your differences by Socratic argument, though.

Somehow I fear Sophistry and rhetoric just wouldn't work with a gang of dudes who are high and looking for "entertainment".

yes i think they should do the raymond E feist books he was the author that got me into fantasy novels the midkemia and a song of ice and fire series by George martin are my favourites.
But the midkemia books would make a great series ive got all the books based on that world by far jimmy the hand is one of my favourite characters i actually think i might go back and read them all again now lol

lol Jimmy the Hand will always be a fan favourite amongst fantasy books..
but I rate him a close second to Jon Snow.

both are awesome characters... amazing no one has mentioned Pug or Tomas LOL.
