SEMI FINAL SUMMARY
After four fantastic clashes in the quarter finals, the EBBL once again made up the penultimate round of the tournament. All fixtures included the four best sides in England, all of them being pursuing a playoff spot in their respective conferences. In the first semi final, Tide of Fire matched up against Stinkilemons with the latter giving the game due to unwanted overload of minutes heading into the home straight of the league. Tide of Fire's, Daniel Folomejevas top scored with 31 points shooting four three-pointers and grabbing two steals. The other semi final was more of a match up with Galaxy Walkers battling it out against seven-time winner Tatatallfella. The game was evenly contested throughout with Tatatallfella taking a nine point lead into the half time interval before Canning and co darted away with a prolific scoring performance in the final quarter, seeing them overcome Galaxy Walkers by a score of 116-87.

The final sees the top two rated teams battle it out for the crown in what will be a fiercely competitive match up. Will Tide of Fire regain his crown and continue his dominance? Or will the Tallfella's be back on the top of the tree and make it an 8th winners medal? All will be revealed next week.

Good luck to all.

Good stuff. I'd have pointed out my lack of star point guard mind... still a 29 point victory over the league leaders is always enjoyable

I guess you're right; short of MMA rules, I don't think I've ever had a team this strong, and you've been very unlucky with Horner's injury and Canning's lower shape this week. That said, what an incredible victory against Galaxy last Thursday man, great credit to your team.

May I add JS8 mate that your reports have been fantastic and I look forward to them every week.

FINAL SUMMARY
After ten rounds of fixtures, multiple upsets throughout and some cracking games, the tournament boiled down to the two top sides in England fighting it out. Last seasons champions Tide of Fire entered the game favourites against Tatatallfella, the most successful side in the history of England with regards to cup victories. The first quarter saw Tide of Fire take a slender lead of one point with both sides trading punches throughout. The second quarter remained tight with Tide of Fire to edge the quarter once again to take a five point advantage into the break with the score at 43-48 however Tatatallfella suffered a setback with point guard, Dragutin Ostres having to go off injured. Both sides came out in the second half with very much the same attitude and the continued remained very close with no one able to pull away from the other. Heading into the fourth, the four point differential made for the perfect finale of the cup. The fourth saw Tatatallfella trail by a single possession play throughout until Jeremy MacAusland and co went on a mazey run to break Tatatallfella hearts. The final score ending 102-88 but what a game it was.

Congratulations go out to both clubs on making the final, but a special congratulations to LA-Vecx on regaining his tournament crown from last season.

Finals MVP
Number of candidates including Harry Barker for his 37 points, Luke Innes for recording a double-double and Donardas Folomejevas for his 24 points and 9 assists but the MVP goes to Jeremy MacAusland who, when the game was tight, grabbed it by the scruff of the neck to score ten points in the final quarter and win the game for his club.

Final thank you goes to all personnel who got involved on the forums this season, you're the guys who inspire me to keep making these threads! I hope to see you all again in here next season.

Thanks guys... Closer than I (and probably Elmacca) thought!

Great write up and I couldn't agree more about Mac - he is without doubt the most consistent performer on my team. Thanks for your amazing write ups this season, they continue to promote interest and bring us all together each week to see what the next games are!

Congrats once again to Vecx.

Somewhat amazed at the closeness, what with who played PG for half the game - still in it really until Osman fouled out and then that was the final nail in the coffin.

The plan was to pack the paint on defence and throw the ball to Barker and Millar, who duly delivered. That cup run was maybe better than the last 5 wins, in terms of performance.

Still, most of my lot have at least another season in them, so we'll be back!
