awesome answer but i disagree cause there r still 3 aims

1 making the squad (u get no merch bonus 4 this)

2 getting into the 12 in a match

3 being a starter

do u really think people will be satisfied & stop @ #3?

People may not know any better and just be satisfied with having their player make the team. So I like the thinking between Mickyster and Whitebeard.

I to had a talk with whitebeard about experience and how much it helps in close games. I think a player deserves to be in the squad no matter how old they are if there skills are good enough to be there I reckon Mansfield will may still be in the squad next season depending how many pops down he has this season he may turn into a bench player as walkers experience and skills progress next season.
Young players will most likely make up the 17 and 18th spot of the squad but they would be the best two that aren't in the 15 man strong rotation these two goings players maybe 25 ur olds or of younger if there really good will play in easier games that will be wins anyway against weaker teams to gain some experience and in courage there coaches to keep training.

To do I think players will stop at 3 I hope not I want my coaches to want there player to be the new star of the national team. If every manager wanted his player as the star the team will become stronger as whole instead of one person training a player to be the star while the rest stop and are content with being in the 12 or a starter.

Ps ill put wang ;) :p

Actually I disagree about this. All players that were selected onto the roster in the past were all starter worthy because they all have a close skill set. But how does one get a starter role and not a bench role? Well you can't just base off skills because there's a thing called gameshape. That's the motivation to play a match, good gameshape with already good skills. Trust me, a lot of managers suck at this.

Wang as a national player? Not in my books this season, maybe at the end of the season if he was trained more. But then again I'm not the national coach very soon... ;)

I have to agree and disagree with the Big Fish. I have to agree with his appraisal of the speeches so far; I'm finding it difficult to choose at this point. I have to disagree with the Big Fish re the Wang. Forget your Willies and Wangs, Dogan will eventually be your man. Sure, he's only 24 but the next NT Mangaer needs to start preparing for him. :-)

Seriously though, I pride myself on maintaining Prof GS so I strongly agree with Whitebeard and the importance of maintaining Proficient GS. Just ask Rob how it can change the game and change your season.

For the candidates I ask this:

The past two managers (that I have witnessed) in Mr Wolf and whitebeard, have shown that they are both competent managers (with great success at ABBL level) and as NT managaers. Do you feel that because you have not managed at the top level that you will be at a disadvantage? IF so, how? IF not, why not?

Further to Matty8's question - Why is it that you have not achieved that top level? I know myself that despite being around continuously since season 7, with stays in Div II (prior to my dropping to Div IV to train a national player up), I am not up to the task of being the NT manager. Since you guys have achieved similar (or, in some cases, less) success than someone like myself - why are you qualified to run the national team, having not made the top league?

That sounded harsher than I intended - I assure you, I mean no disrespect, and I think you're all better managers than me :)

I don't think that not making the abbl is a big disadvantage I've manage to have succes with the team I have in my short season I promoted to div 2 in only my 3rd real season with the team after picking this team up in a relegation series in div 4 my first season. I managed to make playoffs in my first seaon of div 2 but in doing that wasn't making any really money and knew that I wouldn't ever have enough money to challenge for a title which is why I demoted.

Also I know about how much enthusiasm and game shape has as a factor in the game. Sure I've never owned a team full of top line players with those sort of skills but I have owned top line teams with skills good for what ever division I am in. Meaning I know what does what to help in the GE.

I've also learnt a lot from following forums that have some of the top managers in then and seeing what they say about the game and are in federations that have shown me a lot of knowledge about tactics and game engine.
