Bad luck. Close game!
Well at least you will make a lot of money this season as well as get a great draft pick!

His team might not be strong enough to avoid relegation. In which case he might as well prepare for it and maximise income and make sure he gets first draft pick.

I see...i didn't look at his league or his team info tbh...

ah.. sry.. never makes sense to me why anyone would wanna get relegated and tank games. Unless you land a godlike trainee that makes it worth the massive reduction in income from a lower league I guess...

but still....

I'd rather wait till all-star (that's when supposedly when they'll release info on new draft system) see if there's anyone really good... then decide if I wanna get relegated or at least push for 6 /7 place or more... meanwhile try to steal a game or two here and there with enthu manipulation + CT.

hehe jus my two cents

Well consider this, you have just promoted up to div 1 and all the teams there have 10 times better players than you. Now you can either try to win a few games through the season and upgrade your team constantly and probably still relegate as the teams are just that much better, or you can prepare for relegation, cut down on salaries so you increase income, train efficiently, receive a great draftee, relegate and dominate in the lower league and then come back up with a superior team to hopefully allow you to stay in div 1.

I'm not saying you should always tank if you are the worst team in the league, I'm just saying that it can be a viable option.

I noticed you have 7 rostered players and your game shape is suffering as a result, I'd recommend buying cheap players for 3k or less and playing a few of them in easy regular season games and scrimmage games. Then fire them before their weekly salary would be paid. There's no severance pay for them, just the initial purchase fee. In the grand scheme of things it's not expensive at any level and it can come in handy heading into the playoffs. Game shape is a big deal. Mine's going to be disastrous if I make it any further in the cup (and I will).

But obviously when you get more money you'll want to buy real back ups.

I have 550k right now and I am bidding on a pretty good F that would start and the bidding isnt that high right now. I am also looking for a G but all the ones I was looking at went up to around 1 mil so I cant get them... Ill be looking to add another guy or maybe 2 before the playoffs then I will buy another 1 or 2 in the offseason.
