My bigmen trainees are being trained properly, but their managers seem to value offense waaaaay more than defense. (Personally, I value defense more). I keep suggesting that training defense will even make them better, balanced, and more useful rather than only super good offense and wtf defense, but the managers just don't seem to understand. It takes me a lot of effort to convince them to train defense and rebounding... :P

same is the case with kadir's manager.i had been requesting him to train him in ID and reb but he didnt listen...it took me quite some weeks to make him do some ID and reb training.....
and yes i too value defense more than offense and this is what i have been doing to my trainees.the defenses of all of them are higher than their defenses but many new managers dont accept this coz in the real basketball, offense usually better defense off and the managers want the same to be here too...

Defense wins championships. My coach always says that. Even if the offense is strong, it's no good if you can't stop your opponent from scoring as well. Oh well...some managers don't understand...

I can totally agree with both of you. If you look at the players on my team that I trained:

Vallo Tammela top stat defence.
Mu Hongyun second top stat defence.
Oliver Ðuričko top stat defence.
Barton Melmeth second top stat defence.
Diptavrna Kumar top stat defence.

While we have lost all these scrimmages due to the enthusiasm one it has been good to see who the computer does and doesn't play as I continue to "let the coach decide" until the real games begin next season. I hope no-one minds the scrimmage losses but the aim for me has been to win the real games and use the scrimmages to experiment and give the players experience.

Season 17 record:
Real games: 4/8.
Scrimmages: 0/5 (and soon to be 0/6).

Whoever is in charge next season will have a really interesting team that with a good draw should be able to make some good wins, however as we have said there are some major flaws that need to be addressed.

I doubt anybody is so pissed off with the fact that we're losing scrimmages. I mean, the focus should be on trying different things to see what works the best etc.

Next season should be better than this season, but I'm not sure if we'll be strong enough to get some good wins (ofc that depends on the opponents). In season 19, the team should be in a solid state, but I'm wondering whether the team can be as good as last season's, or the season before the last.

Season 18 we will have a better team that season 17, however we have had bad luck with the draw so far in a way.

Season 16 good team and horrible draw.
Season 17 horrible team and great draw.
Season 18 we will have a good team.
Season 19 we will have a great team. That is the season I hope we can really do well, however it will depend on how we went in season 18 if we are in the World Championships, the repecharge or the Consolation tournament.
