personally, not a big fan of the winning player not getting 3pts and the losing team's player getting 3 pts, to me a loss is a loss i guess. Anyways, I guess this sets a precedent now and hopefully judges will be consistant with how points are allocated now.
I don't know if it has happened in past games because I don't check all the MVP points, but its the first time that I've seen a losing player being allocated 3 pts.

Which case are you referring to JW?

Monkey when did you win and not get the 3 votes?

My opinion is that the majority of the time the best player on the winning time should get the three votes but in fairly close games the winning factor becomes less and less.

For example players A and B.

A was the best player on the losing team and scored 40 points and 20 rebounds.
B was the best player on the winning team and scored 20 points and 10 rebounds.

If the game was a blowout and player B ended up playing 28 minutes in a 120- 60 slaughter while player A just padded his stats for 48 minutes then player B should get the MVP.

If instead if the game went down to the wire and player A was trading baskets down the wire with player B, C, D and E but in the end they were too strong and won an 81-80 nail biter I wouldn't have a moments hesitation in giving the MVP to player A.

I hope you would agree.

It has happened to me last season several times. Heres one: (32306329)

Hamilton got 3 points
Elbaz got 2
Papapetrou got 1

And another one: (32306343)

Gresham got 3
Deltell got 2
Elbaz got 1


And another one: (32306350)

Peixoto got 3
Deltell got 2
Manara gor 1

But on appeal Deltell got the 3

No idea about the first one. The second one was a two point game so just like I said before I think in such a close game the points should go to the best player. In the third one even though you won on appeal just look.

Peixoto 23 points 25 rebounds 14.5 rating team lost.
Deltell 17 points 7 rebounds 11.0 rating team won.

Yes I know Deltell won the appeal so that is that but you have to agree Peixoto had a fairly good game.

The strength of your team is it is very even with great quality and depth throughout. Other lesser teams often are pathetic in comparason but have at least a couple of stars that stand out.
