One thing I will NOT miss is the frustration of drafting in V.65. I missed out on my top three choices, Logan Blalock (23477704), Sean Ayers (23477722), and Hassan Wright (23477688), all of whom had 4 ball potential and apparently decent starting skills. Oh well that's the byproduct of playing with other competitive managers, and overall it's a price I'm willing to pay.

Damn! I got a Superstar, 19, with meh skills. But my Perennial All Star 19, Bradley Leary. Has some potential. (23472080)

Next season, I'm not even investing in the draft. I'll just buy on one the cheap with the skills I want. Last season , I bought 2 guys with good potential for 55K (together). Thats way less then I spent on the draft.

I know what you're saying and I can't disagree with your logic. It would be rational for me to do the same, but like I've said before, the draft is something I love, IRL and in Buzzerbeater. That idea of finding a young player with potential and making him your star is just something that I cannot give up. Even if someone else snatches that player before you have the chance to take him, like what happened this year, it is exciting at least for me to find that special player and know you were so close and it makes me even more excited to try my luck next year. And I love statistics and numbers, so seeing young players and watching their skills improve over time is also something I love to do.

I know you could say a lot of what I'm saying is also the feeling gamblers get when they waste all their money at casinos, hoping for that one big break. But hey, as long as the draft isn't breaking my bank, and since this isn't real life, I'm okay with it. I applaud you for being able to recognize and do what's best for your team.
