Just a fun note.... Oakley promoted into the same league that the the rebels are in and they are currently rivals! both products of our league here IV 22. Look through the history, they are the same rebels who used to play here.

Here's a quick salary count off of buzzer-manager... it's in order based off of average salary per player for each team. Not very accurate, but it gives you a rough idea of who's in competition for the top spots.

That is funny indeed that Rebels and Oaks ended up the same place with two different routes. Of course back in the day, it was a solid 1-3 battle for us. So that just leaves me wondering why I'm still here! 8-)

We'll see how it goes. I feel like I've got the right setup for the longhaul, still at least breaking even, if not positive, in general, and still developing. Looks like a pretty tight bunch, really can't circle me TOO excited to see such strong DIII competition come down and visit Flash Masters, but it'll be a good test. I've felt for a while like I can compete in DIII, especially given how the recent promoters have done, and so, honestly, looking forward to the challenge :)

I am also looking to get the pieces together to be a force in this league. The last couple seasons I have been focusing on staying in the league and expanding. Now I am getting to the point where I may finally have a contender by the end of the season. Last season my starting SF and C were both injured at the end of the season. With them back and a vastly improved back court this season (hopefully with a new PG soon :)), I may finally be able to call my team a force. My team will be much more versatile this season as I used to rely on my C for offense, now I can run outside focused offenses as well without any worrying. I have a few surprises in store this season. We will see how that d3 drop fares in our league, it may be a good gauge of how strong our division really is.

I'm in a very strong Div.III. I hope I do better against The Rebels now than I did when we were in Div.IV. I did win my opening game though, so maybe there's hope.

Goodness, anyone else notice the changes in the training system starting to really slow things down? I believe that's now only 2 pops in the last 4 weeks. Two player training, mostly young players all with plenty of room to still advance, proper minutes, level 5 trainer. It's starting to feel like pulling teeth, and if it keeps going this way, it's really going to crimp my plans! :-)
Anyone else having such troubles? Haven't seen much about it on the main forums... Maybe I'll just start rolling in pops in the next few weeks???

I haven't noticed to big of a change, although my training's been kinda crazy lately with 47 minutes or playing guys out of position for secondary pops etc...

Wow, not a single starter for my team. Thought I'd have one or two considering I'm the top team wielding players with higher salaries... anyway got three backups including my new SG who's only spent two games in the league. Should be a good All Star game!

Three vote getters here, all finished 4th, all big men, all needed about 4x as many votes for 2nd string 8-)

Just goes with the trend of recent years.

I'm certain much of it had to do with all the training and out-of-position I've done so far this year, but goodness, gotta be some reason I'm 8-5, guess defense only wins championships, and nothing else, though, I continue to contend :-D
