I have a question:
Once your team is out of the cup and you let your enthusiasm slide down to 7, there's no point to TIE, cause it won't grow higher than 7 for your next game and your effort at 7 will be the same as Normal at 5. Is this correct?

wrong. TIEing consistently when out of the cup still gives you an Enthusiasm level of 9 or so in the long run.

But how? if it's 1/3 and you lose one level a day, you have 3 or 4 days in between.
7 to 9, 8, 7
7 to 9, 8, 7, 6
6 to 8, 7, 6
6 to 8, 7, 6, 5
Or don't you lose one level a day?

you lose less than a level every day, unless it's really high, in which case you can even lose more than a level.

The formula for losing enth is complicated but it's based on how far away you are from 5 and you don't always lose one level a day, it drops less than that sometimes. I've had enth of 10 for league games before.

From game manual: "The max enthusiasm it is possible to have going into a game is 12." I guess you didn't play enough games with TIE.
