You shouldn't worry too much about this kind of technicalities. When speaking a foreign language sometimes you don't use the exact translation. In portuguese we have a word that can be used for any sports environment, for example, which would be directly translated as "field". But then in english a "basketball field" doesn't sound good

I played my scrimmage tonight, went in with 7 guys active....I had 4 guys foul out, and ended up having two "Lucky Fans" play! It was hysterical! One of them got 2 rebounds, and the other had a turnover :-) My game went to double OT, and it was absolutely one of the most fun games to watch, despite it being a scrimmage. If you have time to kill, Go to my team, and replay my scrimmage against the Phoenix Scorpions...fast forward the game to the 45 minute mark, that is where all the fun starts!! I was down by about 9 with just over 2 minutes to go, and forced the first OT :-) Fun stuff!!
