U got 16 orebs ...

Well all games are played and it's Tuesday night and time for another edition for Survivor II.4

In last weeks games the GS Warriors fell to the Libertines which puts the Great 8 up 7-6 in "Divisional Play"

So for this weeks games.....

Super Stars (4-2) vs Div III Portland Pioneers (0-6) - The Stars will shine in this one as I don't see the Pioneers picking up their first win of the season here....

Sungrazers (4-2) vs Div IV Hyneas (3-3) - No laughing matter here as the sungrazers have too much for the visitors...

Flying Leopards (3-3) vs Div III Dunkin Als (2-4) - The Leopards will do the Dunking in this one....

Rockford (1-5) vs Div IV White Plains Mavs (4-2) - The Mavs have a 100K salary guy Gicaro but he should have the night off so I see Rockford rolling over the Plains in this one....

The Bullets (1-5) vs Div IV Triple Double (1-5) - In a battle of teams facing tough seasons, the Bullets have the edge in this one.

EDH Wolves (4-2) vs Div IV Chicage Wildboys (5-1) - The Wolves should put the bite on the Wildboys in this one.

Funky Town Fire (4-2) at Div IV Redstones (6-0) - The Redstones are a good Div IV team and are playing at home but the Fire will light them up in this one.

Pwnstrz (3-3) vs Div IV Crown Heights Knights (6-0) - The Knight are a solid Div IV team but dont have the depth so they will get owned on the road....

Beware of Dogs (2-4) vs Div III Winnetka Wizards (4-2) - With most Dogs rested they will send the Wizards to the pound.

Work in Progress (1-5) vs Div IV California Quakes (2-4) - Nothing earth shaking here as WIP will be the last ones standing...

Welcome again to another edition of DII.4 Survivor!

In last week's episode nobody was voted off the island which leaves the Great 8 tribe at 7 vs the Big 8 tribe with 6.

This week we have a lot of games so I am just naming the games as there is more research to do than usual (though I will have my snarky predictions out on Wednesday night.)

This week's games are:

San Diego Eagles (7-1) at the Div IV Philadelphia Fish (7-1) - The Fish have a couple of good players for Div IV but the Eagles will be feasting on the fish in this one....

Div II.4 Matchup Super Stars (6-2) vs Rockford (1-7) - Should be a good one but the Stars at home will shine over Rockford; you can file that....

Sungrazers (5-3) vs Div IV Boilers25 (5-3) - No grazing today as the Sungrazers will feast and have Boiler(makers) tonight....

Flying Leopards (3-5) vs Div II Silver Dogs (7-1) - This will be a good one as both teams rested up for this one, I am going to give the Leopards the edge as they are at home (and can jump higher than the dogs.....)

The Bullets (1-7) at Div III BC_Lituanica (5-3) - While the Bullets are on the road, they are laying in wait (rested) for the Lituanicians....another close one.

Serenity Valley Browncoats (7-1) at Div IV Taylor Ducks (2-6) - I dont see the Ducks getting off the ground in this one as the Browncoats will smother them....

EDH Wolves (6-2) at Div III Danbury Mad Hatters (5-3) - Tricky match for the Wolves as the Hatters are at home, as long as Alice doesn't put a spell on them the Wolves will put the bite on the home team....

The Closers (6-2) at Div IV New Orleans Jazz (4-4) - The Closers will name that tune in 4 quarters this week as the Jazz dont have a large enough band.....

Funky Town Fire (5-3) vs Div IV South fayette Reds (8-0) - The Reds are a good Div IV team and are well rested but the Fire have the experience (ie probably wont TIE) and depth for this one, Fire in a barn burner....

Pwnstrz (4-4) vs Div III New York Dragons (4-4) - Not enough magic for the Dragons to own the Pwnstrz this week....

Beware of Dogs (4-4) vs Div IV GODS AND GODDESSES (8-0) - If the Gods and Goddesses had a few more in their pantheon, the Dogs might be leashed but at home the Dogs will escape thier might wrath due to the friendly confines of their pound....

Work in Progress (1-7) vs Div IV Gremlins (8-0) - A third 8-0 Div IV team for us this week...not enough Goonies for the Gremlins this week as WIP is rested and ready at home......

...in the trash!! Love these write ups, but don't count Rockford out. We aren't a playoff team this year due to training and the terrible game shape we have been dealing, but I'd be shocked if we get demoted too. We are a different team when we aren't trying to balance minutes with cup wins.

I'm certainly glad I got placed in the Great 8 rather than the Big 8! I'm pretty sure my team is worse than your entire division.

Which is 1 more winner than the Big 8 had when they were on the road. So a pretty worthless fact to point to if you are trying to claim the Big 8 is tougher than the Great 8. It actually supports the opposite conclusion (if it supports any).
I don't see either conference as clearly being stronger than the other at this point. Perhaps once the inter-conference games are all complete one or the other will have shown some it is stronger, but right now a 9-7 advantage for the Great 8 seems to equate to pretty even competition.

Fair enough. I guess we'll see!

Ok, its Tuesday night and time to recap Survivor DII.iV

In last week's episode for the Big 8 tribe, the Stars were not so super and fell hard to Rockford while the Silver Dogs shot down the Flying Leopards. For the Great 8 tribe the Wolves were sent to wonderland by the Mad Hatters. This leaves the Great 8 at 6 while the Big 8 trails with 4

Now for this weeks games - (bots not included)

San Diego Eagles (9-1) vs Div IV Deportivo Saprissa (8-2) - The Eagle had a tough game on Tuesday and their starting five are not rested while Deportivo's starters are ready and waiting.....could there be an upset in the works? Nah, the Eagles are at home and are flying high in this one....

Sungrazers (7-3) vs Div III King of the Wild Beasts (10-0) - The Sungrazers are rested and are at home so they will tame the Beasts this week.....

Rockford (1-9) at Div III Tallahassee Technicals (6-4) - Put it on file dont let that 1-9 record fool you, Rockford is playing for their cup games, even at home the Technicals don't have enough this week...

Bullets (1-9) vs NBBA Orlando Tragic (5-5) - They Bullets are playing for the cup now, but tragically were paired with a well rested Orlando this week.....Bullets get shot down in this one....

Funky Town Fire (6-4) vs Select (2-8) - The Fire are getting that groove back and will burn the select this week at home....

Pwnstrz (5-5) at Div IV Donner Pass Cannibals (9-1) - The Cannibals are hungry and are at home, is this a recipe for an upset....nah, the Pwnstrz will give them indigestion and prevail....

Beware of Dogs (4-6) at Stanton Stallions (9-1) - This will be a good one, both teams are a little weary, the Dogs have the depth but will they run? I see the Stallions outlasting them at home.

Work in Progress (2-8) at NBBA Eugene Register-Guard (7-3) - It will take a lot of work and much progress (and many prayers and hail marys) for WIP to beat the Guard at home....
