I had forgotten that bit. The same process will need to be followed as best that can be at that stage. Without seeing the changes in place any attempt to address it would be a guess. It may be a slight or a major change in how the game is played and without research and trial and error it will be hard to be sure. By gaining info from as many places as possible can shorten the time needed to access the need for nay changes.

Second Team:
The Perth Players
A short answer to this as I am on my phone. Firstly this would mean expanding our Aussie team to include more balanced big men and some experimentation in games using more inside skilled big men with li tactic and trying different tactics with more balanced big men. The aim being to try and determine the impact of the change and if li is still a useable tactic against some teams. Further to this scouting opponents will be more important to see what they are doing and what tactics they are using and finding holes we may be able to exploit.
The under 21 team will have a role here in guiding coaches training future stars getting these big men more rounded in their skills. Once they are beyond u21 but not on national team manager would need to be encouraged to develop their outside skills. These 22 - 25 year olds now could have there outside skills focused on now so that they are more rounded in a few seasons when they hit our team.

Input from all managers on this change would help as we could understand more quickly how effective or not li will be. So managers with more inside focused big men that play li could use this tactic and provide feedback as to how effective it still is. I know I am in this boat but am developing guards atm.

Good question fishy

I had a couple of message with Whitebeard about this today.
Older guys add experience which means they make better decisions in clutch moments and why they are still skill wise to be in the team this adds to it more then a younger guy. Adding in younger guys in his experience can mean they may stop training as they reached their goal of being a NT player. So adding in players would need to be a case by case basis.

With only 18 spots in the squad you need to have 12 to play and you also need some free spots to add guys in for losing players with injuries. The other advantage of only having players who you are using in games listed in the squad it makes it harder for other nations to work out our plans for the next generation of guys. If we have someone in the squad for a couple of season before they really are a part of the team other countries may be able to scout their abilities etc.

I am all for helping and rewarding coaches who are working hard on future NT players and have been helping as an assistant for Whitebeard in doing this for C/PF. And I raised this very question with him. And I fully see his position that adding a guy before he is ready may limit his training. I just got a guy who would be in the side if he had better passing. It is going to take some time and effort to get his up but if he was added too early I might not work as hard to do it and it would make him less effective for the NT side in the current plan.

But in saying that I think having a mix of experienced and younger players will be vital for the long term success of the side. Players at the current level of NT sides are not ready till 25 to 28 years old which means their time in the side is limited but if we lost 75% of the side at the same time we would take some time to build up the experience to be successful again.

Like all things within this role balance for current and future success will be vital in setting up our NT side in the position we all want it to go.

awesome answer but i disagree cause there r still 3 aims

1 making the squad (u get no merch bonus 4 this)

2 getting into the 12 in a match

3 being a starter

do u really think people will be satisfied & stop @ #3?

People may not know any better and just be satisfied with having their player make the team. So I like the thinking between Mickyster and Whitebeard.

I to had a talk with whitebeard about experience and how much it helps in close games. I think a player deserves to be in the squad no matter how old they are if there skills are good enough to be there I reckon Mansfield will may still be in the squad next season depending how many pops down he has this season he may turn into a bench player as walkers experience and skills progress next season.
Young players will most likely make up the 17 and 18th spot of the squad but they would be the best two that aren't in the 15 man strong rotation these two goings players maybe 25 ur olds or of younger if there really good will play in easier games that will be wins anyway against weaker teams to gain some experience and in courage there coaches to keep training.

To do I think players will stop at 3 I hope not I want my coaches to want there player to be the new star of the national team. If every manager wanted his player as the star the team will become stronger as whole instead of one person training a player to be the star while the rest stop and are content with being in the 12 or a starter.

Ps ill put wang ;) :p

Actually I disagree about this. All players that were selected onto the roster in the past were all starter worthy because they all have a close skill set. But how does one get a starter role and not a bench role? Well you can't just base off skills because there's a thing called gameshape. That's the motivation to play a match, good gameshape with already good skills. Trust me, a lot of managers suck at this.
