Yi vs. Cox Scrimmage Post Game Report
In a defensive battle, Yi's smallfries got the best of Cox's Da Cavs, 79-67. Yi also got the best of Cox personally, but it wasn't pretty for either defensive-minded player. Yi finished the game with 15 points on 5-14 shooting, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and a phenomenal 6 steals. Cox had just 9 points on 4-14 shooting, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Both had 2 turnovers. Cox did however have the higher player rating of the two, receiving a 10.0 to Yi's 9.0.
After the game, Cox and Yi were available for comment. Cox went first saying, "Wen I woke up, I wuz reall 'xcited fo da game. Da Mavs vs. da Heatz, not muh game vs. Yi. I f****** sucked, sucked balls out dere (Namssor?). And after dat, muh dood LeBron coodn't score in da 4th quatah and da Heatz lozt. Oh well Petah try hardah next time."
Yi: "Well, fortunately for all of you, I was an exquisite Rhodes Scholar, so grammar is not an issue like it is with that nitwit. Anyway, I felt I played a solid game out there, but, as idiotic as he is, Peter seemed to be ubiquitous on defense. I could not get off great shots. So I made up for it with the hapless handling of the team as a whole, getting those six steals. I'm just happy we beat that cocky dude Korey, he always tries to advertise Cox in the forums. What a d-bag."
In short, Jonathon Yi won this battle, but both Yi and Cox still are vying for the U21 squad in season 18. We will see if they make it.
