Obviously JS and OD should be the highest skills. JR should be about 1-2 points behind JS. DR should be very high and I would want HA and PA to be close too. Then I would want some reasonable IS as well.

This is my 21 year old trainee Kumar as an example. He is not amazing. If he was on the India U21 team he would only be the 3rd or 4th best guard and well behind Singh and Choubey.

Jump Shot: sensational Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: sensational Handling: prominent
Driving: sensational↑ Passing: proficient
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: inept
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: inept

He is fair but what he needs are +2 in JR and a lot more IS. Sadly for him as he isn't my focus so he gets what he gets and doesn't complain. I hope that by in two seasons those three sensationals are all at least marvellous and his JR, HA and PA will all be at least sensational and then he will be a solid SG for me.

Some people including BB-Charles swear by SB on guards. I don't. Some ID is also useful considering how many teams are looking inside at the moment with increasing numbers of guards being trained with decent inside shot.

Primary.... JS,OD,JR are the main ones. PAS also is very important but not as important as it is for a PG. I would like to consider PAS as a primary. Secondary are DRI,HAN and a bit of ID would be nice After that finally IS if possible.

I would consider JS and OD as most impprtant. Then JR. After that driving and passing are important and handling to a lesser extent but they don't have to be trained as much as for a PG. I would consider IS as the final skill that needs to be trained. ID and rebounding can be trained but they are not that important.

I think a SG with relatively low passing can still perform pretty good. Ofc higher the better, but I personally think that other skills may play more important roles.

Instead of passing driving is relatively more important for sg.

i agree with tungi...though i would interchange driving and JR so going by that the important skills( first to last)-
OD
JS
DR
JR
HA
PA
IS
ID
SB
RB
the reason for me puttingdriving over JR is that driving increases the scoring ability of a player by quite an extent without blooming the salary.though JR increases the possibility of long range shots going in but it increases the salary by quite a bit.

My order would be-

OD
JS
JR
PAS/DRI/HAN(all equally important for me)
IS(to complement the driving)
ID/SB
RB

I'm one of the guys who things SB is pretty useful at all positions. Both my big men have strong+ SB and my guards have average SB.

i value SB but not much for guards.though i would be happy to keep a player with a good SB but i personally wont train my trainee(guard) for SB...
