Well, in response to Bainsy's request for a Cup update for the New Breed, I will keep you all abreast of their progress each week. Here is the first, and brief, installment:

1. 3 teams knocked out of Cup by lesser opponents;
2. 9 teams beat up on BOTs;
3. 4 teams had a real opponent to account for; and
4. 1 team had to take out a fellow new breeder for the win


1. The Good:

The Fresh Princes had the greatest challenge this week as they had to take on New Breeder, Skyhook Dreamers. Both teams put in the same amount of effort but the Fresh Princes had HCA. The game was a see-sawing event that had the teams locked at the final buzzer. It was in overtime, with the HCA really making the differnce that saw the Princes pile on 24 points to the Dreamers 10 to claim a 14 point win.

The Gisborne Gladitators met the Miami Heaters (Div IV team) who put more effort into the game. The Gladiator scrubs easily accounting for Miami by 44 points.

The Backseat Bandits (Div III), came to the Hottie Arena like Bandits, hoping to steal an away win but had to take a backseat to the UWA Panthers as Brooksy's B team got home by 11 points.

Like Brooksy, Mamba fielded a B team (more like scrubs) against Div IV hopefulls, NR Bulls. The Bulls put more effort into this one but the Stone Slashers with a comfortable 20 point win.


2. The Bad:

The Skyhook Dreamers were unable to stop fellow leaguers, the Fresh Princes, forcing them into overtime but coming up short by 14 points. However, there was no shame in losing to a fellow Breeder in the first round.

The Moorditj Magick fielded a B Team in an away game against former opponent, The Legends678 (Div III.3) and were beaten by 17 points. Greater enthusiasm and HCA enough for the upset.

Like the Magick, bdizz's Sonic Boom also fell to a lower ranked team in the first round. The Droobstars (Div IV) had HCA and put more effort into this one, stealing the win from their Div II opponent by 25 points.


3. The Ugly:

Despite 1st round victories, the following Breeders pummeled their BOT opponents viciously:

the tornado by 61 points
The Meateors by 72 points
Home Axis by 37 points
puffy_inch by 37 points
Awesome^.- by 75 points
Coalcliff Clippers by 103 points
Raz0rs by 83 points
Flaming Ramzays by 53 points
skjim by 56 points


So there is a bried outline of the first CUP round. I will also (AS WELL AS POST THAT INTERVIEW SOMETIME SOON lol) list the Breeders' next CUP opponents soon.

Well, a quick look through and a few have been fortunate enough to draw BOTs, many have Div III and Div IV opponents and one very [un]lucky Breeder, puffy_inch, will need to rise to the occassion if they have any chance of beating ABBLers, Chumunga. Sorry puffy_inch, but my money's on Tremell.

Noteworthy is the absence of any Div II opponents for our Div II Breeders.

The magick lost in the cup? That's pretty poor.

goldfish had a d3 opponent who put in his best side with more effort while goldfish played his 18yo trainees only revenge was i gave their best guy a 3 week injury lol teach them 2 send their best players in against me

sid had an easy game the running mens best player is a 16kc which would be easy enough but they didnt even send them in

next: Carnegie Cockatoos another easy d3 team

2/4 Baxter Bogans

Baxter Bogans vs. Dentons Squad 107 - 56

trikster smashed a bot yawn, unless it is koop it isnt exciting

next: The Knights! div 4 team w 7 players 1 injured most 3k lol lucky trikster


finally to make it clear how the mighty goldfish could be knocked out in a cup match ill list my priorties

1) get back 2 the abbl
2) train my young guys especially "the truth" 18yo Chung Triêu

sorry matty for not answering questions sooner! All i can say, it has been a shit week for numerous reasons! Hopefully through the worst of it now...
