First, let me say that BB and real life do not always mix (in regards to your reference about Lebron).

The pitiful passing and mediocre outside d hurt, plus the atrocious inside shot. Sure, if you plan to only use outside tactics, the atrocious inside shot might be ok. But even for an outside focused SF, I would still want average inside shot.

Again, I want to come back to salaries. Inside shot costs nothing in salary for a SF. If I'm looking for one to buy off the TL, there is not way I'm giving up free skills, especially ones that are useful.

I understand that my passing is weak.

This is why i love training Driving thou, because it trains Driving and Handling fairly fast and also pops inside and outside shot, if you train one on one forwards. This is why i believe that if alternate training OD and One on One forwards that i will develop a great player fast, i have been taking screen shots of the effect of all my trainees and have about 3 weeks of data i hope to use it all to learn and inform other players what i learn.

"Training One on One
Guards:
Trains DV @ 2-3 weeks
Trains HN @ 3-4 weeks
Trains JS @ 3-4 weeks

Forwards:
Trains DV @ 1.8 weeks
Trains HN @ 2.3 weeks
Trains IS @ 4-5 weeks
Trains JS @ 4-5 weeks"

They are both SG and would only be decent as a SF when you play outside tactics or want to strengthen your outside defence. I generally prefer SF with good passing as it helps with team offensive flow and gives you more assists.

These are my favourite skill weights for a SF:

JS: .15
JR: .08
OD: .14
PA: .10
DR: .10
HD: .10
IS: .08
ID: .10
RB: .08
SB: .01

I've got this guy who is almost on the money as you describe.

Jump Shot: wondrous Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: tremendous Handling: prolific
Driving: prolific Passing: proficient
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: proficient
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: average Free Throw: awful
Experience: mediocre

Give me a couple more weeks to get his OD/ID up and make me an offer :D

The subject about driving is indeed very interesting. Many people dismiss it but then again others like it alot. I know for a fact that one of this years b3 finalists rates driving quite high. It would be interested to see what other experienced managers think about this.

Well I'll take more OD/ID over DR 8 days a week.... so now you have an opinion from both finalists :D

with a bit more inside scoring and defense he'd be priceless, like, you know
5-7 scoring 10k
15 rebounds 30k
8 assists 50k
allaround Sf, priceless

As me and Pallu state on an other threat comparing our big men (we both training big men) we saw that driving wasnt factor at all on %, but also not on the shooting frequency. Actually we saw that the big men who are shooting more and better %, are those that have very good JS to go with IS. Also we saw that passing was big factor on that couz is giving to the player more options. If the player is a bad passer must shoot every time. Actually my worse big man shooter is the 1 who has the more driving, (around -20% from the best).

Yes driving is very cheap, but my best player right now is 3-4 pop ups to be on his softcap, so i want to train some secondary skills, and then switch to 1 position training. Training 6'5 player as a big man is painful slow... If u where in my position would u chose JS or DR? I guess that the answer is obvious.
