His perimeter defense negates so many things. Unless you're a beast down low, just so hard to score.

Generally my math to a win is:

Win turnovers
equal or win on rebounds
hold opponent under 40% shooting
win steals + blocks
shoot 35% from three point land
have more free throw attempts

If we do 4 of those 6 things, odds are we win (against most teams). If we do 3 of the first 4, we probably win.

We did three of the first four. Our offense is consistently inconsistent, so I look at 3 point percentage and free throw attempts for us. If we're making threes and getting to the line, we're in a good spot.

We were never in a good spot in this game, and we are not that beast down low.

I seem to have trouble marrying a strong defense with a productive offense lately. Also Detroit is that damned good.

I must be doing my training wrong as I don't see how teams get age 19-21 players at high levels. For me the training seems to take forever and then the player is too old.
