The pick of the match ups for the last 16 saw EBBL high flyers The Myrmidons take on promotion contenders Durham Wasps which saw the latter book their place in the quarter finals thanks to a 8 point victory.

Thanks to an injury in the first minute I think.

Before the game I expected to lose a close game. Gianotta would have been against Mouchot when defending, and he went on to score 23 so yes, definitely a big factor in the win.

And of course crunch vs TIe is a bit of a mugging.

Firstly, sorry to ElMacca for the injury. Though obviously it wasn't my fault, I hate when it happens to an opponent.

Was a bit of an aggressive game by us all through it really. Ezmir was ejected early for his second flagrant. Thankfully, he didn't injure anyone on those two fouls.

Was a bit of an ugly game for me. We didn't have a lot left after tuesday's efforts. In fact, I'd intended for Fallon not to play so long today, but he had to fill in after the ejection. At least he helped us to "win" the 4th quarter and give us something to take from the game.

Congrats to ElMacca on yet another cup semi final, good luck next week.

QUARTER FINAL SUMMARY
After hard fought games on Tuesday, the teams who advanced returned to action two days later to battle it out to make the semi's. The four match ups saw four EBBL sides drawn up against four division II opponents with all EBBL teams advancing with relative ease showing their class over their lower ranked competitors. The closest match up was between Doncaster Hawks and Stinkilemons with the latter prevailing by a margin of 18 points. Wrose Warriors fought hard against holders Tide of Fire but last seasons champions proved too much with the score finishing at 74-96. The other two games saw Tatatallfella fella and Galaxy Walkers win by over 50 points against Durham Wasps and JR Knights respectively.

After a season of high hopes of a division II team making the final, four EBBL teams occupied the last four spots available to make it an all-EBBL semi final. The two match ups see Tide of Fire come up against Stinkilemons whilst Galaxy Walkers will battle it out against Tatatallfella.

Teams are as follows:
EBBL (4/16)
II.1 (0/16)
II.2 (0/16)
II.3 (0/16)
II.4 (0/16)

Good luck to all of the four teams.

Also, my apologies for a late report, been busy the last week with my apprenticeship.

We appreciate you doing this every week, and twice this week, so no apology necessary.

Looking forward to this week's report! That upset will have to do as my final

Tide of Fire's enthusiasm and game shape advantage is so strong that we may as well give Vecx the trophy now.

Congrats on retaining the tournament trophy big fella - unless they waive the 6 foul limit and introduce MMA rules for the final, my guys have no chance.

SEMI FINAL SUMMARY
After four fantastic clashes in the quarter finals, the EBBL once again made up the penultimate round of the tournament. All fixtures included the four best sides in England, all of them being pursuing a playoff spot in their respective conferences. In the first semi final, Tide of Fire matched up against Stinkilemons with the latter giving the game due to unwanted overload of minutes heading into the home straight of the league. Tide of Fire's, Daniel Folomejevas top scored with 31 points shooting four three-pointers and grabbing two steals. The other semi final was more of a match up with Galaxy Walkers battling it out against seven-time winner Tatatallfella. The game was evenly contested throughout with Tatatallfella taking a nine point lead into the half time interval before Canning and co darted away with a prolific scoring performance in the final quarter, seeing them overcome Galaxy Walkers by a score of 116-87.

The final sees the top two rated teams battle it out for the crown in what will be a fiercely competitive match up. Will Tide of Fire regain his crown and continue his dominance? Or will the Tallfella's be back on the top of the tree and make it an 8th winners medal? All will be revealed next week.

Good luck to all.

Good stuff. I'd have pointed out my lack of star point guard mind... still a 29 point victory over the league leaders is always enjoyable
