Round 3 of Australia National Tournament Summary for upsets.

ABBL
WA IS A DUMP (2) lost to the AVALON JETS (5) 79-67, albeit, both teams are Div I teams, still, good win there by Avalon.

Div II
Sambo 54s (78) from Div III managed to knock off the Rampaging Marmots (75), 118-77, still, very close rankings but different division teams there, cant be too upset really.
SASTROOPERS (71) fell to the Blue Mountain State(205), the 4nik8rs (62) beat divisional rivals Melbourne Goldfish (50) (well, if they werent divisional rivals, they are now). ...An team ive received several beatings in the past from, the City Celtics (65) beat Da Fat Boy Slim (37) , both from Div 2,

Div III
(105) Arana Devils lost to the Mangoloids (140)
(99) Lennox Pigeons lost to -Celtics- (107)
(68) Mmmm Donuts lost their donuts to the Rosudgeon Raptors (138) which makes me think if Newman had been eating Donuts in Jurrasic Park, would he have survived? hmmm
(215) Bellarine Wildfire lost to Div 4 team Red Furys (397) tsk tsk.
(266) Adelaide 36rs lost to amos rogues ( 293 )
(199) AzzAZ SwiNaDaDz fell 71 - 101 Chirny Lakers (238)
Div 4 team (350) licknuts beat division 3 team Kerrang Kings (471) but still, look at the ranking difference.
(240) Cunning Linguists 100 - 94 Jerries (115) - a good win there by my boys.
(193) Melbouren ballers lost 94 - 102 Path Pavers (236)
(192) The Bricklayers 106 - 91 C U Next Tuesday (160)
(130) Grunts 55 - 87 Henley Beach Hawks (163)

(417) top end victory 100 - 63 North Melbourne (288)
all other divisional 4 teams got aptly spanked by higher ranked teams.

I have decided to do a Round 5 Cup Lines with a brief preview on each game.

Only for the remaining ABBL teams - too many games to list otherwise :P

This is only for fun and my comments are not intended to piss off the owner of the teams that i think will not win.

(63) SJOD vs (1) BLACK LABEL SOCIETY
Line - Sjod +14.5
Line - Black label society -14.5

BLS to be too strong at home. Expect Sjod to hang around for 3 qtrs before BLS pull away for a comfortable victory.

(191) PAN AFRICAN BC vs (9) BAXTER BOGANS
Line - Pan African BC +18.5
Line - Baxter Bogans -18.5

Walk in the park for Baxter bogans. Dont be surprised if this one is over by half time.

(4) PANCAKES WITH JAM AND CREAM vs (88) BEERNUTS
Line - Pancakes with jam and cream -7.5
Line - Beernuts +7.5

Theres no doubt Beernuts will take this up to pancakes. Expect a low scoring game with pancakes finally pulling through.

(36) STEVES CROCS vs (3) LEWISHAM WOMBATS
Line - Steves Crocs +5.5
Line - Lewisham Wombats -5.5

Game of the round. Steves crocs are a big chance here. lewisham should come prepared or the crocs may take this one.

(192) HAWTHORNFC vs (8) DONCASTER FLAMES
Line - Hawthornfc +17.5
Line - Doncaster Flames -17.5

Whilst hawthorn have done well to get this far, there is no chance that their talent will match that of doncasters. this game may get real ugly if hawthorns players arent fully switched on.

(5) CANBERRA CRUSHERS vs (255) WINDSOR AS
Line - Canberra Crushers -21.5
Line - Windsor As +21.5


Can the impossible happen? i dont think so. whilst windsor as have been crushing each team in league and cup matches, they are coming up against a ABBL powerhouse in canberra crushers. this game will be a good judgement to see how good Windsor as really are. I expect this game to go well over 200 points.

(22) KOOPASAURUS vs (80) FLAMES
Line - Koopasauras -7.5
Line - Flames +7.5


Whilst it seems obvious that koopasauras should take this one out, dont underestimate the flames at home. this game has the makings of being one of the greatest games ever in cup history.

Thought id better do the Round 4 wrap up before round 5 kicks off. Ive got my sister in laws wedding today, and they are all getting their hair n make-up done at our house, and the annoying photographer has just arrived, so SOMEONE has some time on their hands to run away and hide in his man-cave.

ABBL

(16) The Tasmanian Eagles lost 84 - 91 to Division II team Stone Slashers (36), they CT'd so a bit unlucky there.

Also from Div II, (31) Steves Crocs won 90 - 83 against the HP Tigers (15 ), a CT doing the trick there as well.

(6) AVALON JETS lost 104 - 117 High School Drop-outs (10), again, the Division II team opting for a Crunch time to get them over the line.

(217) Dominant Performance from Division III, thats right, Div III, beat Billy Hoyles Boys(12), through combiation of a TIE and a CT.

And of course, the upset of the round, of the year, of the entire BB history (ok so maybe not) was my team beating Phoenix 5, (218) Cunning Linguists 105 - 95 Phoenix 5 (23).... no Cruch time here folks, although a fair bit of luck because the Pheonix boys set a bench lineup against me and also TIE'd. (in actual fact, i didnt set my best starting 5 either, so yer , alls fair in love and BuzzerBeater).. Fatal mistake from Pheonix 5.

(392) Moorditj Magick beat the Maggots (50) 77-63 - Maggots, my old nemisis, went 22-0 last season in my Div III and NOW decides that he can start losing, to a Div IV team as well! Shame on you! haha. nah bad luck.

(210) HawthornFC won against another fellow conference rival, Amee All-stars (164) in Overtime as well, i watched the end of this game, Amee were up by 4 points early in the OT period, but got outscored 20-9 for the remainder.its ok, you TIE'd and he CT'd, yet you still scored 120-odd points. cant be too upset.
(144) Lockdown D 68 - 79 TEAM LORDY (172)
(240) Cock Punches 137 - 136 Hallora (143) - a 1 point loss, in Overtime, Cock punches score a 3 with 1 second left to win the game. Thats gotta hurt.

DIV IV

Nobody from Division 4 lost to someone worse than them!

So, thats Round 4 upset-wrap. The bridesmaids and makeup artists are out in the main area, talking about vaccinations, baby illness' and floral arrangements. I cannot tell you how happy i am at this moment, to have signed up to BuzzerBeater.
