+1 for iwens idea,

i like the idea of playing all the other teams and bring points for my own. I also dont see it as a Div 1 and 2 but a way to keep the games fair. In terms who chooses who goes where i would of thought that would be up to keep to to respect one another to send the top 3 guys to faces the harder ones and the lesser guys to do the same.

well i for one wont be looking at them as div 1 n div 2 , im looking at them as 2 pools of the same league.

so we will have the ocean guppies in one pool and the lake guppies in the other :)

both working together to help the guppies come out on top

Finally, everyone is starting to get it..

You can't call it Kevin vs Guppies vs XBB vs IV.7 if Kevin doesn't play against XBB or IV.7... or XBB doesn't play against Guppies..

The team that wins... will be like "Hey we beat you even though we didn't play you! HA - HA!"

The team that wins should have taken points off the rest of the teams to arrive in their eventual place, first.

I'll be really bored if I have to play 5 of my league games against my own team, cause regardless of the score, the win goes towards my team. If indeed we are going for a combined W-L record to determine which team comes out on top, there needs to definitely be a split team spread over two conferences, East and West.

Anyway, I hope the suggestion is taken on board.

Our teams are almost set. Just awaiting a few responses.

everyone does realise this doesnt mean you play against "everyone"

just instead of playing against "11 other teams" you now play against a different "11 other teams", in either setup there are 12 teams you never beat, lost to or had anything to do with

iwen will you really be "bored" when you play c-cat?

and if sastroopers go 11-0 in the losers league to be whole combined league champions above c-cat who actually lost one in the winners league?

while if in the losers league also jw goes 10-1 and ta go 9-2 so xbb wins it overall, wouldnt it still be "Hey we beat you even though we didn't play you! HA - HA!"

and what about mvps?

smeltz will be beating up on some 5k scrub from pp as well as whatever collection of 1k players naker drags out each week in the losers league while dell'asta and rooney have to fight against c-cat and monkeys players in the eletist winners league

and if you dont weigh the d2 games evenly then why are they even bothering? might as well be in the tea cup?

if you are going to do this crap why not make it three tier (this bit will hurt me cause some will def like it) with 30 players in total split across 3 leagues of 10 - the outcasts can stay their own team and be put right in, this would make the season even shorter (could have 2 rounds of finals and still be 1 week less but i dont care about that) and you would only play 1 game out of 9 against your own team - even less boring games im sure iwen will like that bit!

unlike my other suggestion that was a joke, this one is serious, even tho i dont like it cause what we first planned and was discussed and agreed on in chat was much beter

all this problem is meateros fault - if they had set a non totally brain dead lineup g1 AND not totally f-ed their gs for game 2 we probably wouldnt be having this discussion

I think you have missed the point slightly.

There are 2 ways to run this.

First way:
2 teams per PL.
These teams are made up of 6 teams.
In 1 season every team will play 11 games.
Out of these 11 games, 5 games will be against people on the same team as you, and 6 games will be against the opposition.
Therefore 5 games are basically useless wins.

Second way:
4 teams per PL.
These teams are made up of 3 teams.
In 1 season every team will play 11 games.
Out of these 11 games, 2 games will be against people on the same team as you, and 9 games will be against the opposition.
Therefore only 2 games are useless wins.

Does that make sense? Surely you think the second way is better right?

Too bad seagulls is dividing you from the pack and place you in the losers league. think of it on the positive side, you can be top of your league.

i think you have missed the point completly

there are 3 ways to run this

First way:
2 teams per PL.
These teams are made up of 6 teams.
In 1 season every team will play 11 games.
Out of these 11 games, 5 games will be against people on the same team as you, and 6 games will be against the opposition.
all games are against your friends and people you care about so every game is interesting

Second way:
4 teams per PL.
These teams are made up of 3 teams.
In 1 season every team will play 11 games.
Out of these 11 games, 2 games will be against people on the same team as you, and 9 games will be against the opposition.
therefore most games are against randoms you have never heard of and don't care about at all

Third way:
5 teams per PL.
These teams are made up of 2 teams.
In 1 season every team will play 9 games.
Out of these 9 games, 1 game will be against people on the same team as you, and 8 games will be against the opposition.
Therefore only 1 game is a useless win.
teams will be even more balanced with 3 leagues to split them into
and it gives the outcasts a chance to play

Does that make sense? Surely you think the third way is better right? Based on all your arguments it is better than the second way in every aspect.

so the top league would be something like
xbb - koop, dfbs
calamari - yoda, naker
gupies - monkey, zyler
kevin - ccat, iwen
outcasts - tremell, bevers

third way seems fine to me. I don't really care which way it is run, I'll enjoy it regardless, I'm just saying that Iwen's way makes a lot of sense.

Yeah i think if this pools method is taken on we need to think of a valid way to split the teams

There's nothing stopping a team saying well our 3rd best team wont win much in the stronger league and our weakest team wont win anything anywhere so why not put our worst team in the strong league so our 3rd team can dominate the weaker league... Could get all way to strategic and kind of defeat the purpose.

Perhaps either have an independent evaluation / head honcho's pick the best from each team. Or another option to avoid in team bickering also maybe scrap the strong and weak team divisions and just randomly pick teams from each team to play in each pool regardless of strength, Though while that still achieves the all 4 teams face each other issue it kind of defeats the purpose of allowing the weaker teams a chance to contribute and not have to play teams like koop, monkey, myself etc...

Ccat I see where you are coming from with the random generation but it would defeat the gold fish idea of playing together with a few ppl. In saying that not everyone have mind set too cheat. So to make every one happy especially the founding members, we just make it flexible as posible.
