Okay to bring the talk back to basketball, if you think that 1-17 is better than 0-8 then consider the following:
Team A is playing Team B.
Team A and Team B have only lined up 5 players each.
Each player on Team A keeps his opponent to 0-8.
Each player on Team B keeps his opponent to 1-17.
At the end Team A is 5-85.
At the end Team B is 0-40.
Final score is Team A - 10 and Team B - 0.

So as you can see, 0-8 is more valuable than 1-17.


You won't win shit in court with those kind of arguments.

pop your knee with nothing - like a guy i know - any you wait two years and then get an ok job done so can play 6 months after that

education

how can it be that every single year kids at private schools get much better grades than those at government schools? pure chance? or could it be that there are stacks of factors that screw the public kids before they even get to high school?

do you want to go to school and swim in the swimming pool, play in the computer lab or hang out in the music wing, or would you rather try to avoid getting stabbed or beaten up for being a nerd if you actually try in any classes?

no doubt the legal system is now way beyond the reach of normal people now unless one of those public litagation sharks thinks they can get half of the money

As far as I'm aware without reading every single one of the last 100 posts of crap, this started over MVP voting. You think keeping someone to 0-8 is better then keeping someone to 1-17 in a game of basketball, bring in mathematics and game engine algorithms as much as you want to a lost argument but at the end of the day the player who kept his opponent 1-17 has had a much greater impact on the game of basketball so therefor the 9827378623876872489 people who disagree with you are right.

So as my local boche champion and appeals educator, i declare Naker wrong and the rest of civilization right :P

lol it is actually a very good argument. You think that the 1-17 is better. I think the 0-8 is better. Now if the whole team performed along those lines you can quite clearly see that 0-8 is better. Hence it seems obvious that on a per player basis 0-8 is still better.

well said.. at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what profession you're in, as long as you're happy and your family is happy and you earn enough to provide for yourself and your family. Being down to earth is the way to go.

Have you seen Love and Other Drugs? If not watch it...

The American drug/pharmaceutical companies are ruthless. That is why the elderly people in the US have to travel by bus as a group to Canada to buy cheaper drugs/medication. They will probably have make the trip every month or two.

I'm just glade Australia does not have that system... but I guess in a few decades time, when our population doubles... the government won't be able to afford to give out free medical like Medicare.

Oh, I'm not saying they're perfect. By no means are they perfect. But, you do still get an education. You're literate, you can do maths, you have a basic idea of science etc - it's like that at almost every school, if you want to learn. Health - yeah, "elective" surgery is a bitch, but if you're really ill, you get the treatment. The system doesn't completely fail you.

Legal - you get screwed over and can't afford legal fees, you are stuffed. Totally and completely.

Naker - If lawyers were held to account for the crap they pull in and out of court, and if they billed by task rather than by hour, if we didn't have ridiculous discovery procedures that take months (years in big cases).... the list could go on and on :P

I know aye... it's appalling but that is the way the world works.

It's hard to decide what to do really... if you can't beat them join them..
or you can try to totally not rely on the system and live in the Himalayas like a monk.
