I really pulling for you to promote, but primarily just because right now there isn't going to be any turn over in the Great 8 unless you do. We need to get a demoting NBBA team that is going into a full rebuild and a DIII promotee who isn't quite ready so that we don't have to go through a second season in a row like this season. lol

What was up with that lineup last night? Are we in lets get A-Dub the fuck out of here mode?

It's almost as if my side lifted me up into their arms, like Angels, and gracefully set me down within walking distance of the promise land. Perhaps one of the easiest roads to the finals, ever.

I you guys!

Who ya'll got? What's your wager? 5 bucks on UPS....

50 on UPS. But I promise to lose the games by 20 or less. Unlike the "playoffs" you've done so far

Quick question for the draft experts though... what's the difference in skills between an "A" rating & an "A-"?

I'm on the road and can't find that I have any notes concerning the star ratings on this computer. As I recall though, most often the difference in star ratings was explained in terms of salary levels rather than actual skill levels. As a result, they became out-of-date over time, so I really stopped paying much attention to them and simply went with the fact that a 5 star guy should have more skills than a 4 star guy. I seem to recall some posts saying that the + and - on letter grades tended to represent whether or not a player had good or bad secondary skills, but never knew how much stock to put into those postings.

Good Gravy.
I don't think I've ever seen a 4MM+ DMI player before.
That's more DMI than my entire team, sort of, if I do the math wrong, but still.
That is madness.

Note: I was preparing to write a brief scouting report for the Finals, hence my sudden outburst of knowledge regarding Bowens DMI level.

Yeah, that caught my eye after the training update. Crazy. And to think he's only at 8GS.

However, you don't have to look far to see another player with 4m+ DMI. Luke Simmons is another beast!

Another old scrub in his late 40s is going to a 1-season-old team in a certain countryfor about $100k. (same country as did this: (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/9138765/history.aspx) recently).
This particular team has never paid over $4k for a player before. Something definitely isn't right on a country-wide level. The same could be said if suddenly there were like 100 USA teams adopting my buying habits / roster makeup. But there isn't.

Damian Rose will be much better (what I wanted Simmons to be but was unable because of the high IS). I stopped training Simmons at 29, and Rose at 25 will have only 9 less skill points (plus being 7'1 with mostly inside training to go).

In other news it's sad that the player I drafted, trained, and literally built my team around (Tanner) will be 38 years old next season. It's mind boggling that he's still a decent starter SF/PF (as a defensive role player). With Simmons not carrying my team like his 220k salary should suggest (hehe), I can't say Tanner still isn't the heart of my team.

Injuries (and the game shape catchup it brings) really ruined my season. Everything's pointing toward selling Simmons and doing a small rebuild, but we'll see.

I remember, against my team, Rose came in off the bench and had a 21.5, or 22.0 player rating. Crazy. It will be interesting to see what he look like when he's on the NT.

Alright, well here is my ad hoc and too brief Finals Preview...

I'm going off of game ratings for this, using the latest five games as they resemble the closest to the team's current rosters.

Cantaloupes vs Upsyndrome... and keep in mind that the Cantaloupes have home court advantage.

OS 8.2 vs 6.7
IS 8.6 vs 11.2
OD 9.5 vs 10.8
ID 9.6 vs 10.7
REB 7.7 vs 8.1
FLOW 8.5 vs 7.5

Of course, these ratings have a lot to do with playing certain tactics, and ECE played a diverse set of tactics over the last five games while Upsyndrome stuck with inside and balanced offenses.

The glaring discrepancy in these ratings exists in YCU's IS vs ECE's ID, which is the only case where one of the team's offense outshines the other's defense. YCU has a wee advantage on the boards, and ECE benefits from a stronger flow.

This looks to be a tough challenge for ECE, who may need to call upon the deep seeded intensity of The Melon Garden's faithful to intimidate YCU into a game 1 loss.

YCU could change things up and go on an outside attack for the first time all season, but looking at their clear dominance inside, why would they? Then again, it could be a means to throw a wrench into ECE's strategist's plans for putting a stop to them.

ECE has a more diverse arsenal to choose from, having enjoyed success from Inside, Outside, and Balanced offenses, so it will be interesting to see which switch they flip against YCU.

Without further ado, may the best team win.

I'm not making a prediction.
