Well my argument has nothing to do with basketball, my argument is to do with the programming in this game, and why, because of this programming, 0-8 is better than 1-17 in this game. Real life has no business here.

It's because none of you understand simple mathematics. :P
If you take my example of the numbers 1 and 2. How many numbers are there between these 2 numbers?
If you say infinity then you can see how there can be unlimited possessions within a set time frame.
If you say any other answer then you are simply wrong.
You can't argue with maths lol.

My girlfriend major in Mathematics and Chemistry, both are useless degrees.

Point is, I get all this maths shit. But you don't understand basketball.

Nobody gives a damn that there are infinate numbers between 1 and 3. We only give a shit about the 24 second shot clock and getting a basket before a shot clock violation. That is a possession.

Game engine or not, probabilty and algorithms and chance (dice roll) aside, 1-17 is better than 0-8, regardless of the number of infinate possibilities the game engine can pull out of it's ass.

Simply because 16 stops is better than 8, even if on the 17th attempt, a field goal is scored.

There is no doubt, at all.

If you still don't want to admit that stopping 16 shots is better than 8, just because the guy who stopped 16 allowed one field goal, then I don't know what to say.

Now take your maths, shove it somewhere else, and talk to me about basket-fricking-ball.

No, Naker, it's because a lot of them are very bad people. They might not start out that way but a lot of them end up that way. It's rewarded by our legal system and by the way in which lawyers bill.

Our legal system is totally broken. It doesn't reward those who act justly, it rewards the rich and the lawyers.

Our medical and educational systems are actually pretty good :P On the whole, we're literate, and if we get sick we can get treatment. If you get fucked over by someone, though, you're looking at several years and thousands of dollars to get compensated by the legal system, and even then you only get about 2/3rds to 3/4s of your legal costs back if you win. People with cash use the legal system to extort and force those who can't afford a trial to settle or discontinue. It's appalling.
