This is a tough season thus far for the Sungrazers. The competition has been quite solid.
I hope I can turn things around, or this may be a sub-.500 season for my squad.

That is just darn wonderful. I finally got my first win... BARELY... and I am looking forward (NOT!) to playing you tomorrow. Roster wise you scare the heck out of me.

My goal is to play for a relegation slot right now. I do not see how I will be able to climb up to a 5th place position right now after comparing rosters.

I am still a few players short of a full deck.

This will prove to be an interesting season as I shed some older players and retool to survive. This will also be a difficult season as this will be my first season since I joined BB that I will not be in the playoffs. It was a heck of a run, but I think the DIV II brick will will stop me.

Hi Hammy. Looking forward to our game tonight. It'll remind me of yesteryear. I was looking at our prior games back in DIII.8, and found our last match: a defensive slog that I managed to eke out 65-53 with a 4th quarter run where our teams shot a combined 49-174 from the field, including 5-37 from 3pt land. I hope we put together a more exciting game than that mid-90's Heats/Knicks style slugfest.

Roster-wise, not sure you need to be scared. My guys are playing poorly lately. They might have that flu that's been going around.

Last Weeks results - everybody won the chicken dinner last week except Big Todd who were skunked by the Rockingskunks.. The Monsters are a good team who should contend and are led by the monster himself Stuart Vereker who cannot play every game...

Technical Fouls vs Div IV Marin Sharks (4-1) - Without HCA the Sharks are harpooned...

The Closers vs the Div IV Indy SuperBirds (3-2) - Closers shut the door on the Birds this week.....

Pwnstrz vs Div IV Buzz City BC (0-5) - No Buzz after this week...

I appreciate the surprise win. That makes win two or three I shouldn't have, but others decided to rest or go for training. Thanks. ;)

My teams so close to imploding. So old. No real trainees. A few undeserved wins is the only way I stay a float.

Big 8 teams average 95.6 ppg, great 8 averages 82.4. We'll see in interconference games whether big 8 offense or great 8 defense is better. I guess great 8 D is more legit.

Well, that was a smack down to start off interconference play. Ouch. Luckily, I was able to beat their 8th place team so we didn't get ye ol' goose egg.

Tourney Roundup Week 4

Last weeks results - Well we lost another one as the San Diego Eagles were grounded by the HunnedBanned....


This week's games of note.....with week 4 more competitive games (no gimmies) and much tougher to call! Good Luck!

Sungrazers vs Div III Cal Bulldogs (7-1) - With the Bulldogs having an easy Tuesday game and a very good Div III team the Sungrazers will have their hands full, fortunately they have a home game and to win may have to field a good lineup and play normal. Prediction - Bulldogs in an upset.

Flying Leopards at Div III Orlando Thunderstorms (3-5) - Tricky game for the Leopards who are on the road, and with the Thunderstorms rested some of their starters. Leopards look to field a strong team to make it tough but I see the home persevering. (BTW, Orlando is the only team to beat the 7-1 Cal Bulldogs)

Super Stars at Div III 10inch Vertical (4-4) - The Stars are going up against a former NBBA team now on the rebuild and with Brjklac out it will be a tough one. But I see the Stars having more height (ie depth) than Vertical so they should outlast the home team.

Albany Patroons vs Div IV Chicago Nightmare (8-0) - Two teams with very little depth, the Patroons get a little scared by the Nightmare but win at home.

Blood Kings at Div II Nome White Owls (7-1) - Owls slay the Kings in this battle of Div II teams...

Serenity Valley Browncoats at Div IV Oklahoma Thunder35 (3-5) - The Browncoats weather the Thunder storm and prevail.

Yorkville BC at Div IV UofDallas (8-0) - Yorkville beats a depleted Dallas team (3 guys injured) eventhough Dallas is lead by stud Andreas Christinat a Div IV monster...

The Closers at Div IV Golden SW (6-2) - The Closers shut the door and tarnish the Golden...

The Technical Fouls at Div IV GoldsboroPigs (6-2) - TF slogs through the mud and sends Goldsboro back to the pigpen...

Beware of Dogs at Div III Lakey (8-0) - Another tough one with a Div II team on the road. However, the Dogs look to have rested their big dogs and will be ready for the Lakey.....Prediction - Dogs outlast Lakey in a tight one.

EDH Wolves vs Div IV Gauchos Locos (7-1) - Wolves put the bite on the Gauchos at home.....

Pwnstrz at Div IV Eastside Seminoles (8-0) - With two over $100K per week players the Seminoles can put a team on the court that can be quite competitive with the Pwnstrz...But being in a tough league (4 other 7-1 teams) I see them resting at least 1 big guy and without the depth the Noles will have trouble and get pawned by the Starz.....

Kentucky Wildcats vs Div III Fern Creek Clerics (5-3) - A well rested Wildcats send the Clerics down the creek....
