This is because American toilets are the best toilets in the world.

P.s. why does shikago have so many players.

I just noticed that my merchandise the past three weeks is higher than it's ever been. Apparently, having only two guys above 10k salaries on your entire roster, and having both of them be 15 season veterans of your club, is highly enticing to fans even as the team swirls around the toilet.

Maybe the bump in merchandise is from having drafted the league's leading scorer? (19248344) (Michael Wray) Plus let face it, your fan-base is notoriously xenophobic, so the all-american roster undoubtedly helps.

Michael Wray is a nice story though. A 33 year old who has averaged under 10 ppg for his career. Now he's suddenly the 27% sharpshooting face of D II.4! Leading all of D2 in scoring & 5th in the entire country in FG attempts.

Speaking of weird fan behavior, my Utopia team finished 5th last season with a positive PD. This season... have thrown 5 of 6 league games, & am dead last in PD. Guess which season fans are happier with? (hint, it's not last season)

The Wrath of Wray is a furious sight to behold.

I have to give a lot of credit to my coaching staff, who managed to corral his inner Iverson for so long. Now that we're in full-on 76er mode, though, it's his time to play and he's making up for lost time. I still hope that he gets to at least set a league record for points in a game some time this season, though it would have been easier last season with three games against essentially bots.

Oh, you.

They've been happier this season in every single fan survey. So it's not a fluke.
My Utopia fans are basically as happy as my regular fans were after finishing 21-1, & sweeping the playoffs. (within half a ball)

How does a bot team with a center at PG score 93 points on me in 3 quarters?
The Clogs, using much worse players, held their opponent to 41 points over first 36 minutes.

My worst active player (DMI under 5k) had to come in and score 16 points in 11 minutes to save me from losing. He wasn't supposed to even play until the game was long decided.

Just at a quick glance, your opponent's SF and SG are much better than a typical bot scrub, and the player at PG was a pretty solid salary center. I keep telling you and everyone that you need to keep scheduling bots from VI in the Cup, like I do, but fortunately you were still able to pull through.

And yes, my Cup run this season (though I love it) is probably the perfect illustration of why an entirely-randomly drawn Cup is an episode of bullshittery.

So what should it be based on? Based on your CR, you should have only faced bots so far and you have. Your Cup run this season is basically the same as what it would be if a non-random system were implemented.

Although I think the Hattrick system (country rank 1 vs. lowest remaining team, etc) is just as bullshitty for different reasons, I do think that the odds of bots surviving to round 4 would be fairly low since they'd be facing off against human teams in the third round for sure (unless more than 500 human managers manage to lose to bots at least).

I haven't thought enough of what would be better to give a great suggestion for an alternative. Maybe for each round when a bot remains, splitting the remaining teams into two pools, with the bots and lowest remaining teams into one pool, and matchups are drawn with the lower pool being home. I think once the bots are cleared random draws are probably okay. I just dislike the thought that we had an interleague game in round 2 and yet in round 4, there are 8 matches between d6 bots, plus probably more than a few VI vs. V bots (I didn't bother checking those).

Dang it! I had formed a mental block so I wouldn't be reminded that the cup is still taking place and I'm no longer in it, but now that block is completely ruined. Crud. Time to meditate and create another one. A stronger one. OHMMMMMM...
