Singapore - Team Pilipinas is pacing group B again with an unbeaten record. The showcase win against a confused Saudi Arabian Team was a massacre from start to finish. Coach Morwood used this game to explore the chemistry of this new group. Meanwhile, Coach Kvacic of the Saudi team was shaking his head in frustration as the lead increased from 16pts. in the first quarter to 39pts. at the end of the half. He threw the chair at halftime in disgust over the lack of effort his team displayed, inadvertently hitting the U21 scout who was caught scouting the Team Pilipinas practice a few days ago.

The next three games are going to be tougher and will determine the leader in Pool B. It will be Macau, Indonesia and Hong Kong up next for this overachieving team and staff. The experts predict Indonesia to be the toughest match up for this group.
Only time will tell if Team Pilipinas can surpass last year's miracle run.

In lighter news, the playboy owner of All in was again spotted enjoying the game with local celebrity Angel Locsin. In the very next row, Coach Lolo Smith was visibly irked when the Mother of Manny Pacquiao (Mommy D) was pressing him to include her beloved son in the National Team. When asked why her son was not given a tryout, he simply replied that her son is division 4 material. It is safe to say he will not be getting any free tickets to Mayweather-Pacquiao this May 2 at Las Vegas.

Singapore - On March 2nd, Team Pilipinas will face Macau hoping to notch its fourth straight win in the tournament. One of Asia's lesser known micro nations is surprising a few teams thus far. They are led by a pair of 7'1 behemoths Duan Lirong and Li Sulin. Managed by AMCM, rumors of the team's late night partying are rampant in the gambling capital of Asia. This has not escaped Coach Morwood's scouting report.

When asked to comment, Coach Morwood had this to say, "Their conditioning is not as good as ours, especially when you look at their starters. They have been playing patient the whole way. It could be a stamina issue or just poor discipline imposed by their coach. Whatever the case, we will be ready."

Meanwhile, the All In manager was reportedly treating Team Pilipinas to a buffet dinner at the Raffles hotel after practice. When pressed for a prediction, "On paper, we are the better team. Let us wait for the conditioning report this afternoon. Mommy Dionisia has offered to pay for all the meals after team practice but wants a private audience with our NT Coach. I told her we have a league game tomorrow with Lolo's team maybe she can ambush him there."

In lighter news, the U21 Saudi Arabian Scout has reportedly been released at the local hospital. He suffered a mild concussion after the chair throwing incident. He is in good spirits and is eager to resume his duties. Sadly, Coach Kvacic has demoted him to team mascot.

For people training 18-19-20:

Update Morwood of your weekly progress, he is tracking our players. If you need help training please reply to this thread. If you know exactly what you are doing and have been doing this for quite some time, then let us know what kind of player you are developing. The coach is open minded and flexible. The last thing we would want is for you to train a player and spend lots of money (on a trainer) only to find out you are going to come up short.

U21 players are hard to train and require a large sacrifice on your part. Injuries are part of the game and can be a huge blow to training. Stamina and free throw training can be trained even when a player is injured. It is recommended that you only train these two skills when you have 2 game only weeks (example - All star week) or missing a lot of minutes in your training week. For those who are still alive in the cup tournament, you will still have a 3 game week on all star weekend.

Personally, I would not train stamina and free throws at all (unless he is injured) or until he is 25. Two trainees (1 position training) getting 48+ minutes every week is a sure thing if you know how to use the substitution pattern. If you are not consistently getting that every week you seriously need help. Having three trainees is possible as long as you prioritize the training minutes of the two main trainees. Good luck to everybody. Peace.

Singapore - Team Pilipinas was too much for Macau, as Coach Morwood's boys played four flawless quarters to ensure top spot in group B. The final score was 132-55. Macau's big men were reduced to midgets as Santino Libre and Emil Serafin Balatbat were having their way from inside the box and the perimeter. Montenejo showed the way with a game high nine assists. Perhaps the most under rated point guard in U21 history, scouts are still trying to determine how to stop him. He put on a passing clinic throwing the ball between the legs of two defenders for a two handed slam by Balatbat late in the second quarter.

Coach Morwood was elated with the victory but he was peeved that some members of Team Pilipinas were not in shape. The reduced playing time of some players should send a strong message to managers to not overplay the minutes of their U21 stars. Pressed to comment, Coach Morwood had this to say, "The game was a blow out because their game shape was awful. We were expecting the victory but not in this fashion. It could easily have been a closer game. It is what it is."

Meanwhile, the All In manager was reportedly trying to negotiate a contract at court side with Manny Pacquiao to be its playing coach for the remainder of the season.
