U21 SGP - Season 16 : Game 4 : Singapore survived Foul Troubles, Korean Towers, won 82-72

Chan Teck Yao realized it, Merlions can't stop those biggies, so he start raining shots, followed by Ang Kok Loong & the rests.

CTY & AKL started hot in 3rd quarter, hitting jumpshots everywhere, then Ismail & Lee Leong Sze pick up the slacks at 4th, and Singapore, trailed 4 at halftime, racked up total 55-41 2nd half points to beat Hanguk with 82-72 final score.

The Singapores weren't doing much to stop the Hanguk triple towers, which done the most damage between 3rd and 4th quarter. Instead, they kept raining the outside shot. Kudo's to Chan Teck Yao's big 3rd quarter, everyone were pumped and riding the momentum.

The lead were only 67-63 with 4 minutes left, but Chan Teck Yao big 3pts and Li Sze Ming layup sealed the game 77-72 with 20sec left. Fouls to give goes on, and SGP keep hitting the FTs to prevail.

CTY & AKL led team with 16 points, Ismail & Lee Leong Sze scored 11 points. Both Chang Zhengde and Goh Wen Shun were in foul trouble. Chang were fouled out and Goh has his fifth.

Seok-Ki Kim led Hanguk with 18pts & 9rebs, Chang-Kyum Park with 13pts & 18rebs.

With their latest win, Singapore team now has confirmed their tickets to the S16 Asian Tournament 2nd round, slight better improvement from two seasons ago.

The Merlions will face Saudi Arabia on next two week for their last preliminary games.

U21 SGP - S16 - Not your grandpa's Saudi Arabia

It used to be a quick rapid heartbeat from SGP Staffs whenever the Merlions are facing the Saudis, as they were known of their powerful Bigmans and steady old-school Playmakers. But it's no longer the trend now, as Saudi Arabia is sitting at the last place on Pool A.

Result of this coming match should not affect the SGP position on the 2nd round, which might bring the Merlions into the same pool with China, Phillipines, Irans and the red-hot Indonesian U21 team.

Ang Kok Loong will be apologized from lineup today due to unfit conditions, and SGP U21 again plan to use the 20 years old player more on this match. Fans of Peh Jian Long, Chan Long Shi and Ling Feng Kong will be happy again to see their player stay longer on the court tonight.

Early lead brought Singapore fend off Thailand 106-81

Seems it's been ages since Singapore last time facing Thailand, but they had no problem last night to close this one.

Ling Feng Kong scored 21, and Ahamat bin Ismail has 20 to power up Singapore to a bulky lead 64-35 at the end of first half. And although Prathei Thai is chasing at third, but it's too late for them to recover and enabled the Merlions to secure their first win on Tournament second rounder.

The Singapore won despite minus one of their best player & defender, Ang Kok Loong, as he was listed questionable after a very bad shape since All Star Break. But the nights are actually belong to Abdul Rauf Ishak and Lee Leong Sze, who displayed an improved ball movements on that game.

Ishak scored 10 pts and 4 assists, while Lee has 6 pts and 4 assists, contributing each other on PG position.

Panu Kamoltip led Thailand with 22 pts.
