Great win today fellas!

It was a coming out party for young buck Derek Macnuir. He scored 26 points! Congrats to his owner Green Machine.

Two Canadian NT Guards for Sale! (Imminent Press Release on Behalf of the NT)

Paul Falconer of Manzel Farms is up for sale. This young stud is an important bench player for team Canada. Between his slick defending, cool-hand-Luke like shooting and the ability to play harpsichord, this guy would be a great pre-Christmas present for anyone. Get him while he's hot!

I. Pavliuk -- Currently he's being held against his will in some unknown foreign region. Please free him. He would really like to come home. At times he has been one of the best Canadian guards during the last couple of seasons.

I know that it has been an up and down season but one highlight is the fact that we are now ranked 15th in the world. We were 29th when I took over. So there's some positive news for the week.

Rained on at the Rocket Jet!

Canada 133 Hayastan 71 (46375)

Ben Jet was nice enough to host our first consolation game. As it generally does when games are played at his arena, the sh... t was flying! Luckily it flew in the RIGHT direction. A dominant 4th quarter in which Canada outscored the opposition 42-9 was the exclamation point on a very dominant game against a weak opponent.

WE will take all the wins we can get. Our schedule will be interesting and challenging for sure, but we have a nice group of players this year. Is it as good as it could have been, maybe not, but they are showing heart.

One thing is for sure, old man Madiar isn't ready to be put out to pasture yet. Last year didn't end well for him in NT. After a dominant firt part of the season, his conditioning went sideways when we needed him most and it cost him and the team dearly. Today however he made it clear he can be a top dog for us when his game shape is serviceable. 23 points, 11 rebounds and a block. HOWL mad dog howl!!

Rebounding.. 63-19.. WE almost had more offensive rebounds(17) than they had total rebounds. Christmas doesn't come that often but it was a nice little bonus to an otherwise easy day at the office. Hall(14), Avila(13) and Madiar(11) led the way. The HAM squad (Hall/Avila/Madiar) were definitely feasting high on the hog today!

33 assists to 8 turnovers was very nice. It is nice to have Almada back at good shape. He is so key ot our success. Was tough to deal without him since the end of last season.

The new guys are playing well. Welcome to young buck Gavin McNamara. East Side Rangers is doing something right. This nice new recruit 11 points and +9 in his first NT game ever is a nice start to what should be a nice NT career. Green Machine's MacNuir has been very useful as well. 17 points of his own.

Great game. The games get tougher from here on out, but with good game shape we should be able to make something out of this season. Argentina has a very easy schedule so we have to try to keep up. WE are on the road next week. let's go Vikings!! ( I felt we needed a new name.. something with a lot of horns!!)

A great start to our game against a very good German team. 26-20. they guessed both our gdps right, and we used more enth at home.. so we shall see..Old man Logan King is again doing a great job of handing out dimes and forcing fouls. He has forced 3 fouls already and it's only been one quarter.

I will be in the chat during the game.

Canada NT 42 Germany 34

A very low scoring 2nd quarter. It's ok though because our defense was holding strong. We have the advantage on rebounds, which is really helping us. Guard Almada especially is making a difference with 6 rebounds. Overall we hold the rebounding advantage 26 to 17.

Their GDP advantage will probably take effect next half, can we hold them off? Demuth for them is doing everything he can. Points, steals.. you name it, he's their man.

We have great balance in this game. Everyone is playing a part. Allons-y!

Third quarter re-cap....
Another fantastic defensive effort and a 24-18 quarter win. We now hold a 66-52 lead going into the final frame. We will need another good defensive effort to hold off the plucky germans.

After 1 good quarter: Canada NT 26 Montenegro( Crna Gora) 18

A nice start. They crunched our tie, but we are hanging in there.. It's so nice to be able to use Kazokov again. If only his game shape was good every week!!

Let's go folks!!

A rocky third quarter so far.. They came out flying with a 9-1 start... Don Aaron's three pointer with 42 seconds left was big... We still lost the quarter 23-17 but it could have been worse...

We need to hope that was their big quarter. How much of a factor will their Crunch play? Kozakov has gone quiet.. come back Comrad!!! Why do the Russians always disappear in crunch time? I thought that was just a hockey thing :)

102 - 89.. we live to see another day. Next week it gets super hard... Turkey on the road...
