I would look at selling the 2nd guy. His high potential is attractive on the market but his low starting skils means that he'll never come close to reaching that potential. If you wait until he turns 19, his transfer value likely goes down.

The first guy is a very nice prospect. Concentrate on him and as Wolf recommended, start with his guard skills. Jump shot and 1 on 1 training probably being the best places to start.

Secondly, I would train them in OD/1v1/PA. Not only will this increase their value, but it would also keep their salary low, improve their performance, and will be a bit easier to do, since you are in D5 Italia. Whether or not you buy a guard to train guard skills, that is your decision.

If you do decide to buy such a player, try to get one that has star or allstar potential. You don't need a player that has high potential. Also make sure that you don't pay too high a price to get him. Since they will be the 3rd guy in the training rotation, their role wouldn't be as important.

Someone told me that I should train them in ID while I've reached 13.

I would advise you not to train their ID straight to 13. After a while, the training speed of their ID would slow down if it got a lot higher than their IS and REB.

The farther away a skill is from related skills, the slower it will train. Inversely, the lower a skill is to related skills, the faster it will train and pop until it is near the level of the related skills. This is called the elastic effect. You can compare it to a rubber band when it is stretched back and forth.

In summary:
- Train their secondaries first
- If you buy a guard, make sure their potential isn't too high and the price to get them is cheap
- The elastic effect can would hurt their training speed in ID if all you did was train it to 13 without any other inside skill pops

Good luck training them!

An example of primary skills that the guard I've to buy must have?
How long should I train them in secondary skills?

I don't think I'm gonna sell the legendary guy!
Thanks for answer guys :)

Don't waste your time on either of them. The first guy has terrible potential and the 2nd guy is too old.

Lol.

I've bought this for 6k. Is it good for beginning this type of training?

He's a decent prospect but remember, you want to have players that you can train the same skills together. That's very important. So sometimes having a 6 foot guard prospect and a 7 foot Center prospect isn't ideal (although it might be in this case, at least in the short run).

Still that's a good purchase, you can probably pump up his guard skills for a season or two and then sell him on the market for a huge profit just around the time you start training big man skills with your other guys.

Okay :)

But if I'll take them as my future guard, isn't he good? I mean a 15/20k guard could be interesting?

If you want to train your 2 bigs properly, you'll never be able to train that guard up too $15K. Or vice versa.

Don't make the mistake that many new users make and load your roster full of players, both bigs and guards, that are all still young and in their training years. You want to either train 2-3 young bigs or 2-3 young guards and buy vets everywhere else to fill out your roster. You simply can't train an entire roster and you can't train both bigs and guards effectively. It's neither cost efficient nor a very smart strategy.

Plus as you promote, you'll need to upgrade your players anyways. So suddenly a guard worth $5-10K isn't somebody that you'll still want.

All that said, you're off to a good start.

Primary skills for guards are JS, JR, OD, HA, DR and PA. As for your trainees, I would train the first guy until his OD/HA/DR/PA are all at least 8.

Okay, I will do like this. And then? Should I begin with primary big guy skills?
