Well maybe not. If some of our 18 year olds develop as well as we hope that they will they will be almost as good by mid-next season as some of our players this year. It is time for an Indian revolution!

lot lot lot lot of single spot training, no chance.

I disagree that 18ers can fill the gap. If other countries will train decently, you'll never fill a full season gap.

But start working...

If all the 18 and 19 year old prospects are really trained properly, then in 2-3 seasons' time, our team will be (or should be) stronger than the team we have at the moment.

I think if next season we have to choose between 10k 19 year olds and 10k 21 year olds we would be better off going with the 10k 19 year olds as they will continue to train faster and get even better as the season goes on, they will gain experience and their owners will be encouraged to keep on training them.

I agree. If the younger players are just as good then we should take the chance to build their experience. Especially with the extra experience they gain playing international games.

the difference in speed is minimal. In my opinion, criteria is first how the manager trained them and kept them in good shape, telling the other "hey guy you have the big opportunity to train your player better!"

Experience is not added by NT matches (or my Scalambrieri should have been skyrocketed)

Having your player on a national team will not affect his player ratings or weekly minutes in any way. He will garner experience, but cannot suffer an injury that will carry on after the game.

This is taken from the game manual.

It is also my understanding that playing national games gives more experience than cup games which gives more experience than regular league.

I have heard from so many sources including the game manual, Gms and NT coaches that NT games does increace experience that we will have to agree to disagree on this point. I have heard that it does depend on how much you play so playing 1 minute here or there probably wont actually give that much of a boost.

the difference in speed is minimal.

In terms of there not being much difference I will also have to disagree. Again just going by the Hungarian NT database and training analysis. I can't compare 19 and 21 but I can compare 18 and 20. I have two guys the same height and 2 years apart, 18 and 20.

1 position training in pressure with a level 6 trainer.
Nick Covic 18 193 cm 2.00
Barton Melmeth 20 193 cm 2.44

That looks like a massive difference to me. For every 4 pops Barton will get Nick will get 5! By the end of the season that could be the difference between our guys having prominent defence and sensational defence. I know which one I would go for.

I totally do agree with you that the biggest factor is the manager ensuring that they get 48+ of single position training every week and are kept in great game shape.
