Hey guys, time for this little kitty kat to but his nose in, just reading through i think a lot of people have missed Iwen's point...
Not being an original I have no loyalty to traditional system and it doesn't really bother me if we stick by it but i do agree with what Iwen is saying as it makes a lot of sense. From what i gather what he is saying is
As it stands there is 12 teams in each league, with 2 teams in each league, your playing the opposition 6 times and your own team 5. What Iwen is saying is its kind of a bit shallow seeing as half your wins will be against your own team.
What he is suggesting is putting the top 3 teams from each team in 1 league, and the bottom 3 in another league. That way instead of playing your own team 5 times, your only playing them twice. Not only that, each of the 4 teams plays each other this way, your not only getting to play against 1 other team and also the weaker teams wont get smashed by the better teams they will have more evenly matched opponents constantly. Teams are still teams just in 2 different pools basically. Theres no relegation or promotion, each team would just allocate their 3 best teams to 1 pool and the 3 weaker ones to the other.
Whether you keep the old system or the new the 4 team ladder doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the current system when there your team only plays against 1 other team, its basically just 2 separate leagues so 2 separate ladders makes more sense. If Kevin is weaker then Zylers team where as Calamari and Sharks are evenly matched, naturally Zylers Team would finish higher on the overall ladder even if both Sharks and Calamari are stronger then them, where as if each team was matched up against every other team the rightful champion would be crowned.
Like i said i have no loyalty to the traditional system being a new comer so I'm just giving my unbiased opinion so feel free to shoot it down like I'll shoot all your asses down come match time! but really either way its still gonna be fun, lets giddy up!!!!
