Vereker is the main reason my playoff game tonight is going to be a brutal one.
Big Head Todd has a good team all around, but the big man is a monster.

Stuart Vereker I think should be MVP again. He's got an incredible stat line with treys, rebounds, and steals to go with his scoring.

Too bad Buzzerbeater doesn't do defensive player awards. That would be cool to see since the most successful teams are usually the ones with best defense.

Forgot about him. He's a beast. NT depth chart player. I actually think the MVP race will be close between Vereker and Darryl Meek. Meek leads all of D-II in player rating (Top 11 in the US), top ten scorer in league, and is on a first seed team.

I'd like a 6th man award as well, mainly because of Isom. He's great off the bench (16.5 player rating).

There were some crazy close games in the first round, with the top two seeds in the Big 8 having a bit of a scare. I'll be facing the PwnStars in a s30 D-III.1 semi-finals rematch. I love it.

Yeah. Sheesh. I'm grateful that Bacevic managed to not foul out earlier in the game guarding Vereker. That guy has always been a Sungrazers nemesis, and he would have ripped through my backup like a barracuda through a school of sardines.

Well, in that regard, your team is not alone. There are not many bigs that can stop the 2 time D.II.4 MVP effectively. Same can be said about any NT depth chart player. He's very well rounded.

Meek was 3rd, good call on him. Team record must count for a lot for MVP, I didn't deserve to have 4 guys getting votes. Fitch had a career year so nice to get him recognized. And Cates is my best player. But Lewis and Graham werent MVP caliber. Barthélémy at Philadelphia and Varakis at San Diego should have gotten votes even if on losing teams I think.

Yeah, but it wasn't as close as I had thought. Vereker ran away with the award. I thought maybe game rating and team record would hold some weight, but it seems that unless you're in first that may not the case. But to be honest, Vereker was the most valuable player to his team. I mean, he carries that team on his back.

what's the best way to spend scouting points? all the new options eat up 10 points each.

would group demonstration + regular interviewing for the rest be the best value?

I don't even go group demo, anymore. I look at what type of player I'm looking to train. Scout those 2 skills, then interview and scout

interesting. thanks for the tip!

I should've done that in previous seasons maybe. But drafting #1.... was hoping to find a 5 star MVP hidden among all the players. (Wishful thinking?) My 2 best other trainees are mid-height, so pretty much any player taken would be adaptable.

Guess another option is to do the combine for ages first, then scout the 18 year olds only. IDK. For any other teams that had high picks in the past... what worked best for you?

I would do the combine first, and then scout the 18 year olds and interview the ones with the highest skill level.

I would also kick myself in the nuts for investing 40k/week this season to have enough scouting points to do that after using up all my scouting points last season and finding no 18 year olds with more than 3 ball potential.
