In my league, it looks more like a downgrade : one team (who's not dominating the league) has four ASG starters and two backups. I have two myself so I don't complain, but still...

I feel like one of the best ways to do it would be to take all the NBA data about who makes the all star game and use that to create a model that predicts what players would make an all-star team based on their stats. Then have the model predict what players have the highest probabilities of making the all-star team in the BB league and put them in. Obviously you might have to scale the variables a little bit, but it wouldn't be terribly hard to implement, though it might take some time to tune it.

If the all-star-vote would work in a good way, it could work as a (slight) boost for merchandise (e.g. 1% of the all-stars salary)
