who would you be playing against 5 times?

i think "just zylers team" will have some very strong people who will provide a lot more than just "hollow victories"

well it would be MUCH better if we could have 24 teams in one league and just set the length of the season so the computer randomly generated who we play - better stillif it was like the afl and we could auto include some traditional matches like the anzac day clash etc

but we cant

we kept the power levels fairly focussed this season - guess who gave koop his closest match? possumpete!

for next season we have obviously loosened the boundaries a lot

it is a pity that we wont play you, and i wish iwen, that you were still on our team, can we trade you for possumpete?

but there will be one combined individual ladder, one team ladder and one mvp list, so all 24 teams will still be competing even if a little indirectly


it is a bit like the nba playoffs, the lakers can't knock the celtics out before the finals directly so if orlando or miami can they rejoice

yeah im happy to play against anyone, im not fussed witch way we go, as long as im doing my bit for the XBB team.

but i can see where iwen is coming from.. having a record of 8 win and 4 loses and having something like 4 hollow wins over your own team. but i also like playing against the same people. like when i beat yoda in season 1 and then he beat me in season 2, it would be good to see what happens in season 3 yoda VS maggots.

i just hope this doesn't start a shit fight again...

im happy either way.

Um... but during the regular season the East do play the West... in ours we don't..

But I'm playing my own team in 5 of the 11 games. That's my point. If split, I only play them twice out of 11 games, so if I win 9 of my 11 games it's more likely due to taking wins off other teams than my own.

But I'm not the boss, so whatever goes I suppose.

and how much does any regular season game matter?

we would never do it but one thing that would be fun (for those involved) would be at the end of the season get the top 4 teams to play in a short tournamnet style pl which i think is one of the options - anyone not currently in a pl can check - this would give us an overall final champion

but probably not worth it for the majority of the teams that are spending 3 weeks twiddling their thumbs

But the playoff idea just won't work, not with the tight schedule we run on.

Is it worth contacting BB gods and asking for some changes?

What's being created here is an attractive asset to BB and, if they want more supporter teams, why not communicate/negotiate with customers to see what they want.

I wouldn't know where to start with improvements, but I mean, we're all paying customers so it could be worth a shot.

but they wont make any changes in the next 3 weeks, so we are going to have to work something out on owe own this season

Yeah I understand exactly what you mean, this whole season has been a season of hollow victories for me... =P

okay jokes aside... I don't think you guys will be anything like the TEA league, you have some very fair and modest people in team kevin and team zyler. Hell even the TEA seems alright, they just need settle things down with the mvp votes and teams tanking etc...

I'm not totally against the idea of a div1 and div2, wouldn't mind playing against teams like c-cat and monkey biz. Just want to look out for the best interests of the majority.

Wouldn't it also make sense that, if a team is going to tank, that this team advise everyone early so that they don't get put into a specific PL?

Obviously some teams decide to tank after the PL has started but it wouldn't hurt to put that out there. I think most of us are humble enough to, besides giving up some secret strategy, step down if we're going to tank.

The other teams could be involved in a similar thing, just not be going for 1st place.
