Will do it this week, no time last week. Will come out Tuesday after games or Wednesday, depending on work load.

Welcome to another addition of Div II.4 Tourney Survivor

Unfortunately in this game there are no immunity idols and there are those lurking teams that will CT you when you least expect it.

And like last year, I did not get a report out the first week and someone fell by the wayside….. looks like the Leopards flew the coop thus putting the Great 8 in the lead 8-7.

BTW, Last years winner was the pwnstrz

Now to this week’s games. Ok, only the real games…. If you can’t beat a Bot….well go directly to Div V do not pass go do not collect your TV money....

Flash Mashers at the Div IV ExplosiveBubbleWrap (0-4) – I see the Mashers flashing by in this one…

PuffPuffPassPass vs Div IV Morgantown Mad Dogs (4-0) – Tough one here as the Dogs have the players to compete (97K center in Div IV) but will they with 3 other teams at 4-0 in their division…..so prediction is that Puff passes the Dogs with a stronger than usual team for a 2nd round tourney game.

San Diego Eagles at Div IV CC Mavs (4-0) – Another tough on as the Mavs can field a solid team, prediction, Eagles soar with a solid lineup over the Mavs.

Note: With PuffPuff and the Eagles fighting it out in their division at (1-3), anything could happen….as that Tourney vs League trade comes to mind but is only week 2 so they will do what they need to win.

Eloping Cantalopes at Div III New Bedford Nasties (3-1) - Even with the Cantalopes in full on rebuild mode, meaning they could field a strong team here I see them being left at the altar this week and the Nasties advancing.

Serenity Valley Browncoats vs Div IV Columbus Rocketeers (1-3) – The Browncoats serenely ground the Rocketeers this week.

Work in Progress vs Div IV NE Revs (2-2) – Too much Work for the Revs (only 8 players) this week, WiP advances.

Beware of Dogs at Div IV Boston Marksmen (2-2) – Marksmen keep missing as the Dogs run away with this one.

Everyone else has Bots – Good Luck all!!

PS – Please understand this this is entirely tongue and cheek and take nothing personal…..no disrespect to any of you fine coaches

Been playing this game since 2009 and never have more than 5m in the bank. Man, do I feel poor seeing all these money flying around the TL.

Yeah I was looking at Rogers but I didn't want him 7 million dollars bad. Plus I already made my move on Simmons.

I've never had more than $1.5MM in the bank. I've always kept my team pretty close to the line. Probably means I keep too deep of a bench, but I like that.

To be clear, I really have no problem with people acquiring these large sum of cash over time. After all, it is a game and there are many ways to play this game. The surprising part for me is how many people are doing that. It used to be that only top teams were throwing around >3m bids. Now, even d3 teams have 3-5m to throw into the TL. We are definitely in a different era.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like this era of high spending on the TL snuck up on everybody. I really was not expecting these high prices.

It really surprised me, for almost two years I was kind of inactive... I just logged in every few weeks to keep my account alive and maybe made a change here or there but mostly I was just in free fall earning money. When I had time to start really playing again I had amassed well over eleven million dollars. I thought that would be enough to buy a B3 team, no problem, but with this new economy it wasn't easy to make it this far and I can tell I will be hard pressed to simply buy my way to the top when 34 year old players are selling for 2 million, and the top NT prospects are selling for over 7.

My best tip for rebuilding teams: invest heavily into the draft & train! You'll save a lot of money training home grown prospects.

Remember: If you're going to lose, then lose -- always aim for that top selection; chances are, you're going to acquire a really nice player...eventually.

Yeah I feel like if I had put the effort into my rebuild I'd be ready to make a move similar to the one you did, unfortunately for about eight seasons all I did was freefall without real training or scouting... I made a ton of money but not nearly what it could have been if I'd been more involved rather than simply logging on to stay alive.
