Oh goodie. I have the Clogs as my rival. Looks like I'll have some fairly unhappy fans this season.

I think it's because you beat me when we played to end the season last year. Clearly, it's in your interest to not beat me again to repeat an unfortunate repeat of this.

Ah yes, in my crucial 5th place clinching last game of the season.
I didn't think about how that might come back to bite me in the face.

I'd like to give a shout out to the Serenity Valley Browncoats.
They went through me in the finals to emerge as champions of the PL "League of Extraordinary Potato Salad V".
I think my players were a bit starstruck/distracted as Malcolm Reynolds was sitting in the stands just a few rows back behind his home team.

Thanks. I just wish I could find a Mal Reynolds in game to add to my team. lol

@hrudley - I'd rather have a TV game against you in our Utopia league (which I guess is still possible, as that schedule isn't out yet). I think my fans aren't going to be too happy with my TV performances in this league.

@redemption - not BronCats - Browncoats. No animal, stuffed or otherwise, here. I remember both you and Jack Rabbits from III.10. I guess I must have had more games against the Rabbits, as I drew them as a rival.

Looking forward to the new challenge. My team is starting to age a little and obviously I need to start looking for DII level talent. From the look of things, I figure I'll be fighting just to avoid relegation. Best of luck to everyone.

My TV draws in Utopia were outstanding. I got two teams that would have relegated from the league if relegation were enabled, and currently neither of them has anyone with a salary above $4k. And even I have some salaries above that now - making the conference finals with a team that close to the salary floor last season was fun. My Cup draw there was not so nice, but I was really lucky last season and the TV thing will be nice, so I'll take it.

Oh, and salaries are updated. Our salary floor dropped by close to $4k, so the TV revenue will be down slightly. I don't see any major salary shifts on my team, although I forgot to note what my new player was making weekly before, but I doubt there's anything like a few seasons back when JR and SB had their salary components cut significantly.

My team salary dropped by 8000

Mostly from my big men

Well, I'm back home it appears. After spending almost my entire career here in II.4, I found a side gig up in the NBBA for a few seasons. I had arguably one of the worst injury plagued seasons one can have with a superior doc. I auto demoted without tanking, so I'm broke, that's good news for everyone else here. In the last 7 games of the season I went 3-1 against the 4 teams that made the playoffs at home, but went 0-3 against 5th-7th seeds on the road - that's how close it was. Don't let that bother you though, that team was sold off weeks ago and won't battle ya'll this season.
My old-timer team had a 70k salary cut overnight with the aging update, which means I can afford to add another back up. Once I find money, I can consider that option... But probably not. For the second season in a row I "won" the schedule which gives me a pair of back-to-back road games before the all-star break. Even with a week 1 home game, that might be enough to bankrupt me if the attendance penalty from demotion is all it's rumored to be.
Not sure how this season will play out. Will I find 1 trainee I like for the first time in many moons? Will my average age go up or down? Will another injury streak make me sell off and quit? Will the witty banter of some in this series keep me hanging on? Will that surprise game one CT catch anyone off guard?

Yes, your surprise game one CT will catch the Sungrazers off guard. Arg!
Wouldn't it be preferable to play TIE and give your players a nice break and welcome back to DII.4?

I hope so. I just looked it up and it was over seven and a half years ago that I defeated you to promote to II.4 in Hattrick, and I think that's the only match we've ever played against each other in either game. Wait, is that going to encourage you to save that CT for me? Never mind. ;)

But yes, it's great to have you in the league, even though a more fair world would have you still in the NBBA.

I wouldn't risk it if I were you. You don't want to go into your first home game of the new season coming off a loss. You may as well CT yourself to make sure to get the win and that sweet attendance. I'm not sure who you'll play after that, of course, but the important thing is to take care of that road game.

This advice sounds very well thought out and unbiased.
I will run it by the coaching staff and see what they think.
