true to that
I guess the most eff way is to stay in div 5 against all those bots
And start accumulating draft picks since u r likely not gonna have anyone competing with u
And still be able to make 100k a week
And train ppl out of position all u want

You can train people out of position and survive even in III. Heck, if you're only training two guys instead of three like I did, you could possibly even do it even here - there are plenty of teams that are tanking, and other teams that might throw games for the Cup.

The thing is, everyone who's looking at ways to build a financial advantage so they can eventually move up with their warchest are wrong. What matters more is learning how to compete and survive with salaries lower than most of the rest of your competition. If you can survive with lower money invested in your roster, you can thrive once you can spend as much as everyone else. It's a natural progression - win a series, move up, solidify your team at that level, and then gradually build your way up to challenging to win and move up again.

I was thinking div 5 u can get 2-3 picks per draft
I think I am gonna just tank it to div 5 and accumulate picks along the way to build an interesting roster after this season
And just gonna come back with enough capital to win everything all the way through
Stuck in this limbo at this league for a while
My core guys are approaching 30
Might be able to get a few million for now

They changed the rules around Season 23. The bots no longer get a draft pick thus they no longer end up picking some 5 ball recruit you wanted before you can. But you still need to spend the draft points to find the guy.

One other note, tanking in Div III has probably little economic value. To me tanking in Div I/Div II are the places to tank if you are to tank a season or two.

The optimal strategy is probably to promote to 1 /tank to 2 /promote to 1/tank to 2. Or tank1 /tank 2/promote 3 /promote 2 . If you are into that sort of thing.

Personally I'm going the route of playoffs in 1/promote in 2 strategy...but I'm not sure if that will work here in Div II. All I know is I don't want to go back to III.

Smallfries II
Yea I kept saying that I didn't want to go back to D.III either, but with limited cash flow and the prices of the TL made it impossible to get back to competitive....that's why I'll be tanking this season and going down to D.III to rebuild. You just have to have a plan in place in order to create a salary efficient team. If you can do that, then you can buy those 1 or 2 high salary players to finish your build and promote back to D.II and then NBBA.

If u cut your roster to bare bones
U should be able to generate enough $$$ in each division
So it doesn't matter to me if it's div I or v
Yeah I went up and down div Iii and div II
For a few seasons
Still find it hard to make it to NBba
Bc I made no money when I was in div Iii to keep my core together
I guess the most eff way is to go all the way down

Where can I find this rule change? I was definitely not aware of this and, quite frankly, think this is a fallacy.

If that's really want you want to do than go for it!
But if you lose interest in the game don't blame me heh

To me Div II is the division where the competition starts to matter.

In Div III there are still a majority of teams treading water. Managers that half give a crap...that is just not the case here in Div II. Even if they are in last place, they are there for a reason and attempting to do something better with their team.

So it can be frustrating. Me, I'll be lucky to make the playoffs, but if I hadn't suffered some early injuries I would be there easily. But I wasn't going to spend myself out of Div II chasing a playoff berth. Heck, I'm somewhat regretting the players I bought already last week knowing that smallfries is likely tanking. But then again I don' think I want to chance facing a revamped Owls team.

Div II is much more strategic and tactical than Div III. Basically in Div III there are a lot less variables to consider because you only need to worry about what a handful of teams may do.

Actually maybe I'm wrong.

It looks like that was a single season change only! Maybe it was a bug?!?

I would love to throw a welcome home party for Ron Fisk. My checkbook is ready.
