Just for arguments sake, the winning team doesn't always get the MVP.

Last year, win or lose, Kobe had a strong case to win the Finals MVP, cause he was just amazing throughout the series (except the last game).

Just sayin' =)

I don't disagree, just saying that the winning team should play a large factor in my opinion. :)

okie dokie do...

So I've had a good look at the box score as well as watching a large part of the game and i think its pretty fair to say the result means squat, the game was decided on the buzzer, a 2 point game is not really enough justification to warrant winning team consideration in my opinion.

We look at how the game panned out and at 3/4 time the Donkeys were down by 11, Bowers was on 32 points and Trinh was on 16 with 15 boards. with 3 mins to go the Donkeys were still down by 9, Bowers was on 37 and Trinh was on 21 points. It was then the Bowers show came to town, he hit 3 clutch 3 points in the final 3 minutes and did hit the final shot but also only scored 2 other points. Bowers however hit 3 clutch 3's and was the soul reason there was a game winning shot for Trinh to hit, had Bowers not dominated those last couple of minutes the game would have still been about a 10 point game.

They finished with

Trinh 26 points (10/25 FG) 19 rebounds, 3 turnovers in 48 minutes
Bowers 46 points (16/32 FG, 9/18 3pt) 6 rebounds, 0 turnovers in 39 minutes

So clearly Bowers was the far better player, a big guy shooting at a much worse % then an outside player is sub par and his numbers just arnt as impressive. So if Trinh is getting it for his clutch last shot i cant see that being more impressive then hitting 3 clutch 3's in a row which was part of a 14 point last quarter to bring the game level. I think in this game Bowers had far more say in determining the result and was a much more valuable contributor then Trinh and in a 2 point last shot game the winning team is irrelevant.

So more then happy to allow the swap of Bowers to 3 and Trinh down to 2 votes....

Dewey would be pleased, his first game in the fishbowl was a good start, now hopefully he can help team kevin to a few wins.

3 - Bowers
2 - TT
1 - Cacho

The appeal was just Bowers to 3 ahead of TT and realistically while Cacho still did put up bigger numbers then TT, TT was still the reason for the 2 point win, and while i think Bowers was the MVP TT wasn't exactly far behind after hitting the clutch winning shot.
