A nice long cup run would help.

I think u only get one chance to win it in every 3 seasons
The amount of capital $$$ u have to burn is insane
I think YUCk had a 590k payroll
I had a 530k
My economy only supports 500k max to break even

I'm right about breakeven right now at about 530k (pre-Cup). My problem is that unlike burning $$$, I've been burning time - I can still roll Busch, Cheek and Klein as big men for another 6+ seasons, and rotating through options at the guard and SF positions can still be done, but a lot of what I've been able to do is also reliant on having Wray/Menard/Namo able to play well enough to be capable of spot starting in the league games, eating up valuable minutes and winning Cup games for the most part. That crew is starting to get up there in age, though, and Carver's days as a real backup are numbered as well.

The 500K value is about accurate. Most teams pushing 500K are treading water.
Timing is essential in this game. Sometimes planning has to revolve around 3 season: relegate/playoff/promote type strategy.
But only one team can promote...that's what makes this Division fun anyway.

Welcome Silver Dogs! Nice win to make it to the Div II stage. We both beat a tough Big Head Todd team...who should be in Div II already. Well done anyway...glad to see you make it here...

my 1st generation core is approaching 30 as well
It's up to Ron Philip and David to carry the torch
It also cost me additional 50k for the staffs
So yeah....
I can only train Ron at primary position when contending
Bc I know I would not be able to afford a higher salary
If I stay the same
Now I am getting burned by his 150k salary
My C is perfect for div II

Yes, 590K was the roster for the last few weeks. Looking back on it, I still can't put a dollar figure on the cost of promotion. The ever tinkering with player builds, then suddenly realizing it was kind of working and then going for it. Losing money on transactions trying to find the right fits. No home game one of the final weeks. Losing to hrudey in a road game before my last home game, which established a lower than expected baseline attendance figure. This figure is used to generate your revenue and tax if applicable. Being 40k less for the rest of the season and playoffs cost me an additional 100k in taxes over that stretch, plus the money I was losing. If I had to guess, i burned a couple 1.5 million. Expensive trophy on the league page.

I got lucky winning in the finals.

BHT players kept getting injured.

I can't see myself being in this league for long.

I don't have the money to buy the players i want.

so all probably be buying alot of scouting points and putting alot of money into my arena this year.

They are. I would love to see a Dutch/German Final. That would be exciting.

I will say Germany isn't quite this good. Thiago Silva and Neymar would have helped control the mid field a little better for Brazil. Confidence was probably fragile as well missing those guys. They were probably doomed from the start. Brazil was the pre-tourney favorite, but they looked a little shaky in round robin play.

Well getting a good draft pick to build your team around is always a decent idea and I'm sure you want to finish the arena. You have a lot of money wrapped up in your current roster being that they are quite young and marketable. Personally I gradually sold off all my starters last season for younger replacements...but it was a challenge, especially when the injury bug hit. Was my worst season thus far for injuries.

Will you be aiming to finish 8th then? Or trying to still be competitive?

I would love to see a Dutch/German Final.

I hate that Robben guy though. So am hoping Argentina wins tomorrow.
