good stuff yoda! the teams actually look pretty balanced with the exception of the iv7 calamari of course., they are staring down the barrel of a third straight defeat in the jaws of the xbb sharks =P

monkey biz as soon as u lose the PL PO or dont make the PO, you are free to join another PL straight away.

fanny it sucks to see you not make it, but we have all agreed that you need to mature a bit first, be on your best behavior from now on and who knows, you might redeem yourself.

The unanimous decision was made by the Fish Bowl Committee that we needed to line up our league with the regular seasons like they do in BBB. To do that we needed one really short season of 12 weeks. This is painful, there are people I really wanted to be playing with who aren't in the Fishbowl West, but it is for the long term good of the league. We will be expanding again in season four.

As for C-Cat, it is no secret that I wasn't keen for him to join. However there were many more people that were very excited to have such a strong team as a part of our league. Koop will be in ABBL next season, probably Monkey or Iwen the season after so it is only a matter of time until we had some superpowerhouses and in fact Koop has been close to unbeatable this season. I have also found C-Cat to be a top person, very flexible, helpful and communicative. We shall see how those Pancakes 256 to Shepparton 12, games make everyone feel at the end of the season.

The Captains of each team selected their players within some league imposed limits. I had a really tough time cutting established teams like Iwen and City Celtics as well as former teams like Xerxes and not letting in true IV.7 teams like Beasts Red or ezyfrag. I'm sure every captain faced similar issues.

So there is The Outcasts, the Tea Cup or the rest of the world.

Dont worry Fanny, the TEA Cup still has room for you!

I love your enthusiasm ezyfrag, you always take news well.

So, are we splitting the teams onto the two divisions? Or do teams remain in the same division as their teams.

I think we need to split the teams into each division.

Reasons being:

- Less free wins against your team. With the current setup, teams can win 5 games against their own team. When split, in the private league they can win only a maximum of 2 games against their own team.
- My team is going up against XBB and IV.7, but I don't play any of them?

If you split the teams, place the stronger ones in Division I, and the weaker teams in II, all members of their team have a chance to contribute some wins against similar level opponents.

But I am sure there were more. Not far off having an "Outcasts League".

Have 8 teams in the Outcast league, split them into the 4 teams, and have their results count towards ours. Then when we expand back to the original size, integrate them into the teams.

Games against your own team is sorta redundant so the fewer the better. Teams are much more willing to help eachother when they aren't gonna have to play that team in the coming weeks.

I think from what Koopa said yesterday the expansion would make each league a max of 14 teams so i dont know that their will be scope for all 8 to come in but who knows......Any way we can still be integrated would be cool and of course i want to stay as active as i can on here as i want to be in that next expansion with bevers!

i think the calamari will kick butt because we have all good teams...except for PossumPete

don't know how the splitting will go down, i am fairly sure the xbb guys like fatbuy and sustroopers said that they wanted to play with and against each other as much as possible

on the other hand i am sure kopasoreass would love to try his team against guys like the big pussy and monkeyboy and he wouldnt mind stabbing his friends in the back to do it

and before peeps get too excited about this idea think about where you will be and who with if we need 3 from each in top and 3 from each in bottom this is how it probably would look

instead we have 24 equal teams competing on an equal footing

can the mvp come from the bottom division?
is it right that when we toss a coin and slam goes up and egg goes down that slam wins no matches at all and egg wins them all?
maybe the right strategy would be to send your 3 worst teams up for no wins and 3 best down for all wins except against each other

The teams need to be split by strength. Best 3 go top, bottom 3 go to II.

This ensures the teams in II can have a fighting chance, and can contribute. It's no fun for a team to go 0-13 cause they're not very strong.

But the most important thing is, if my team is gonna be ranked against XBB and IV.7, I want to beat them. I can't do that without going up against their best 3 teams in my league. If I'm going up against only zylers team, I don't feel like I'm playing against you guys and I'm just part of a separate PL.
