I was tempted to CT, but all I really wanted to do was put up enough of a fight to stay in 5th place, which just meant having a close-ish game with you, win or lose. I guess it didn't matter, as the Lethargy lost, so I could have CT'd and all would be the same.

I did feel fortunate that you missed so many 3's, but I was also steamed that my SG started off 1-10, as he's my best shooter by far.

Oh, and sorry about the injury. Glad it was just for the game.

I know in the past I've CT'd the finale when in fifth, but usually I wouldn't if it would influence the playoff races too much.

I was surprised your SG didn't shoot as well either, but very surprised how easily you were scoring at SF. I would have anticipated the reverse of that, though Schulz was having a relatively crappy night at SF so I didn't mind the injury at the least (since I had checked before tipoff to make sure nobody was lost permanently). I think had I been putting the type of effort into scouting recently as I used to, I probably would have had Namo starting, but that may have backfired in different ways.

Primo Namo, while intimidatingly monikered, was running a really low DMI compared to Shultz. He must have a crazily unique skill-set for you to consider starting him. Spencer can be pretty effective at SF sometimes, other times, he is strangely irrelevant. Kind of a bummer. But, usually when that happens, someone else makes up for it. When they don't, I lose.

It would have been mostly for the rebounding, since Namo's built more like a true SF than Shultz. I still might not have, since usually Shultz is one of my best scorers, though tonight he ate dogfarts on the offensive side too. I suppose in the grand scheme it didn't matter - your team was better tonight and I imagine that the odds are good that anything I tried differently would not have changed it. I just hope to be out of this league so I don't get to rematch with you any time soon.

you are his rival, if he lost his revenue will suffer

This, exactly. I lost the first game and my fans were mad at me all year. Didn't think I had much of a shot of beating McFatties either way.

But apparently it resets at the end of the season...oops.

Wasn't even aware that I could've leapfrogged the Clogs. Or that I was 16-5! Wow, that's not bad at all, considering that 4/5 of my best players were complete rejects I got for free almost.

Anyway, there was basically no chance I could've beat the Clogs in a playoff game, so 2nd or 3rd really didn't matter. By finishing 3rd I get to take half of his arena revenue. And... he has to cleanup after Vardis Sourpis(s).

Not at this point of the season - that all resets in the offseason, and that sort of thing doesn't really have a large influence on attendance in the playoffs either.

The schedules are kind of weird sometimes. I've seen teams end their seasons with a combo TV/rivalry game. And earlier in the season, teams can have 2 TV games in 7 days. (which means that the first of those is essentially meaningless...)

I'm wondering if you'll make any playoff predictions this season. I still remember last season, when you off by over 130 points on a single game!!!

Did you know all of this? Your words say no, your eyes say maybe, your browser history showing your purchase of tickets for the Lisa Loeb concert at my arena the afternoon of our playoff games says "YES, PLEASE!"

Your words say no

I don't listen hard, I don't pay attention to the distance that you're running or to anyone, anywhere. I don't understand if you really care, I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.

I think the important thing here is that we come together on some sort of consensus of what the next female sorta-one-hit-wonder from the 90s to book as an act in our ongoing banter. The first one that comes to mind at the moment is Natalie Imbruglia but I'm not really sure that represents the high quality of artist that we represent; I mean, Lisa Loeb I think had the first ever #1 song that wasn't signed on a record deal, and Paula Cole sang with Peter Gabriel. Those are lofty standards.

On the other hand, if my fans cared anything about standards they'd stop showing up to my games or the post-game concerts. So I suppose there's some wiggle room, though I suspect that "wiggle room" is what Sourpis calls it when he's marking his territory.
