Great work as always Akuma.
Well there are three rounds to go and it is looking like the Calamari are in a very strong position. Sorry if this will sound like a big pile of Calamari propaganda. While missing out on the superstar teams like Glenelg Tigers and Haggards but having a very deep draft in the expansion netting All Sorts, Team Lordy and The Persepolis Immortals, the Clamari have managed to achieve a stranglehold on the South and North.
In the North all top three teams are Calamari and I would be fairly confident that two of them will be battling for the finals.
Persepolis Immortals Calamari 12
shepparton shooters Calamari 11
Viral Infections Calamari 10
In the South the top three teams are Calamari.
Possum Chasers Calamari 24
All-Sorts Calamari 23
TEAM LORDY Calamari 22
However this one isn't over with Yarra Park Bears, Eggplantpopolopolous and Home Axis all being strong and having a good chance to advance.
In the East a brilliant Calamari team (ok just kidding) leads the league.
Chelsea Seagulls Calamari 36
So the Calamari lead three of the four divisions. The Seagulls have reached the top mainly due to a soft early schedule and are set to come crashing back down and be spanked in the last three weeks when true league superpowers Billy Hoyles Boys, Haggards, Glenelg Tigers and Da Fat Boy Slim take their rightful places at the top of the ladder.
In the West things are quite different. Kevin are always the power in the West however the Sharks have made a brilliant improvement to be equal top despite the tricky SmeltzTroopers who should have remained in the East tanking their way to one win, while Whitebeard and Koopasaurus are doing a brilliant job. (Notice you need a one name team to be a Shark?)
The Calamari have a big lead but anything can happen. Naker may sell his team. Chelsea may have 3/5 starters injured like last season. The Immortals may go on a Hajj.PossumPete may go bankrupt. Anything is possible.
Three weeks to go and the Calamari are keen to repeat their championship. Will you allow us to do it?
