Broke my bank with the new trainer and trainees and hopefully I will secure the 5th seed to save up for next season.
Good luck y'all with playoffs and relegations.
Looking at the last night of games, there are still a handful of things to be decided...
Big 8's 2nd place: currently a tie between the Clogs and the Lethargy. Rik Smits takes on my Sungrazers and Milwaukee does battle with Forza. Assuming they both win, the Lethargy will need to pick up a 28 point differential on the Clogs, or still remain in 3rd. Seems unrealistic that one of them would do anything other than TIE at this point, as the playoffs are right around the corner.
Big 8's 5th place: Sungrazers and Marshland, separated by one game and 138 points. While Marshland is a favorite over Diorite, the question is whether they can make up 138 points on me while I play Rik Smits Clogs. Nothing is impossible, but that would have to be quite a blowout victory (combined with me getting stomped by the Clogs).
Great 8's 3rd place: Silverbacks & Evolution. Tied with Silverbacks up 115 pd. Silverbacks play the Thumpers and Evo plays the GS_Warriors. At this point, it makes sense for them both to save up on enthusiasm to go for an upset in the playoffs.
Great 8's 5th place: GS_Warriors, SF Warriors, & Reston. What a crazy race this has turned into. GS currently has the top spot, but the deepest point differential chasm at '-429'. SF is certain to beat the Minnesota Botbirds by a large margin, thus securing 5th place, which leaves GS vulnerable to a Reston win dropping them all the way to 7th place. However, Reston would need to beat the Silverbacks, which actually isn't too crazy as they beat them in their first meeting on the Silverbacks' home turf. The question is whether or not it would be worth it to perhaps exert higher than TIE to have a chance at playing the Silver Dogs instead of Marshland or the Sungrazers in the relegation series.
Best of luck everyone!
