Well there is good news and bad news...

As far as I know you will be in the league, but the extended league. As we are having to drop to 6 teams for next season so we can realign with the real seasons it was really tight with 11 players wanting to be on our team. Ezyfrag, would it cheer you up to hear you are 7th or 8th?

Season 3 with only 6 teams our IV.7 Calamari Team will be:

Chelsea Seagulls
Viral Infections
Cowboys From Hell
Melbourne Goldfish
Possum Chasers
Western Titans

We are very sorry that we cannot fit in Kynlala Knights, City Celtics, Shepparton Shooters, Beasts Red and Persepolis Immortals. We have been in contact with both Zyler and C-Cat and have told them that you guys (along with Egg and pwnage) are a priority to keep in the league so we hope all of you can still be in the 24 teams of the "Greater Fishbowl League". I hope they are organising their teams as we speak.

This smaller league is designed to catch our league up with the real leagues. It will be 4 weeks shorter than last season. This should fix the problem. Season 5 we plan to make the league bigger again.

Two weeks to go and can everyone involved in another PL please check the finishing dates for your league. I think the Tea Cup has only one more week correct? How many weeks of finals and is anyone involved? Monkey? Zazz?

Yeah the TEA Cup only has 1 more week to go, however I'm not too sure about the finals after that...

only next season will be 12 teams per PL
after that we will have 14 teams per PL just like the BBB PL.

iv7 has their 6
c-cat now needs to come up with 6
zyler needs to come up with 6

I think the original guys should have priority over the newer guys when it comes to getting a team, i personally would feel like quite the ass if a guy who was involved last season got left out in place of me purely because i have a better team. Maybe not so much the inactive / quieter guys but definitely guys who are heavily involved.

Maybe me, zyler and the bigshots can sit down and nut out some teams over the next couple of days, Is it worth seeing if any of the available teams have preferences as to who they'd rather go with? So long as its fair if someone really wanted to go with zyler over me for example it would be kinda pointless teaming them up with me.

14 teams per PL is correct.
16 teams will be too long and will drag the PL over pass the next season like it has the past two seasons...

the BBB has 14 teams per PL and always starts a new PL season as soon the league season starts... so they have a good and thought out template that we can follow.

C-cat we need people who are able to lead and set up the PL. We don't want games to be played at 3am in the morning now do we? You are the perfect candidate as you know what your are doing... and anyone else for that matter who thinks they can do it can put their hands up for the job as well =P

3/4 teams are now finalised and 4/6 players on the last team. Possibly tonight I will be able to announce the final teams and the 24 players. I know these changes are sudden but we think they are for the long term good.

Well after several hundred posts and BB-mails this is it. The provisional teams. We are very sorry for the teams that missed out and there are some that are very dear to me that it really sucks for. However once we decided to go with 24 we were always going to have to cut some good friends and some good teams.

Quite good balancing with only the Guppies being 2 points behind the rest but 5/6 of them should be near the top of their leagues.

None of this is set in stone. We are happy to hear from anyone about any issues. Don't like your team, don't like your team name, missed out and should be in, whatever. Just be friendly and communicative and we will do what we can.

There has even been another suggestion to have a THIRD parallel league "The Outcasts" for those that missed out if they are still interested in forming an all Aussie PL. Don't forget there is still the Tea Cup who have a lot of great teams competing there as well.
