There will be (most likely) 5 spots.
Likely league winners...
- Sapporo
- STO
- Umi Says
- II.4 is irrelevant as they're all bots.

Then from the others...
- Miyazaki Freeters
- Kyoto Shogun

I'll miss out on PD. Pretty annoying, given I'm pretty sure I could beat 3 of those 5, and the 2 I couldn't both come from II.1 anyway.

Well..... STO definately has the capability to be much stronger than you. He was one of the top JBBL teams just a couple season ago and I know he has the money and knowledge to compete on that level again.

But, I agree I would put you in the top 5 DII teams. We'll look forward to your promotion next season.

Maybe he does. Hard to tell when he's been languishing in bot country. But I doubt it.
I doubt he has the drive to "...compete on that level again." - for if he did, why the hell did he drop down when JBBL's fraught with 'meh' at the bottom level?

And "Top 5"? Sheesh. Maybe... up until a week or so ago I would guess I was #2 in II. Now, I'd guess #3, with Kyoto jumping ahead of me with his purchases over the last ten days.
Funnily enough, I'd go so far as to suggest that even the top 4-5 teams in Div II are all in II.1 (as of at the moment). Perhaps that's because they don't *need* to have solid teams to win in II.2/3, but it is what it is - and as the teams stand at the moment, I think there are 5 teams in II.1 that could beat STO, MF or Umi Says.

He'd want to. He'd need to buy almost a complete team.

Tanking and ending up in II.1 would be awful. With the way it played out at the end of the season, it's a real arms race with nowhere near the cash coming in that is in the JBBL.

If I promote, so be it... but it's not looking that way. So, another season of Div II.1 - this time without the logjam in the Great 8 (assuming Sapporo & Kyoto promote).
We'll see I guess.

3A is looking like he is done with tanking, but who knows. Kotets is reachable. Depending who goes down you should be banking next season, keeping your roster low salaries but qualities players and high return trainees. You should look to bank minimum 2 million next season. If you can create a surplus of about 150k a week that should do it. Kotets might disagree but I think with smart shopping a roster worth about 5million can beat him.

Depending on what happens with promotions, that could be difficult. If two promote from DII.1 G8, then it's a possibility. If it's only one, then it's going to be an arms race again.
